I recently found out that this fish and chip shop/ restaurant had opened up under new management (after years of previous trade). I called in for fish, chips and peas one evening and I must say the food was beautifully cooked and the were staff lovely.
We will definitely add it back to our 'places to eat'.
I've had traditional fish and chips in many restaurants but this is the best in the UK. I still can't forget the flavour.
Perfectly battered fresh fish, big chips, large sausage, juicy peas, great curry sauce and crumbly texture scraps. Service: freshly cooked and perfectly wrapped in recyclable boxes. Best fish and chips ever had. Big portions.Friendly staff. Wow! So much better than Wetwang! Worth a drive down from Garrowby Hill for. Great birthday treat.
Stopped by on the off chance for a quick fish supper - my goodness what a very pleasant surprise! The best fish and chips myself and my hubby have ever had. We also had peas and curry both very tasty. Service was excellent and we would highly recommend you stop by if anywhere nearby. Five Star all the way. ????
Absolutely first class. We rarely had fish and chips, but tried Mackerel sky when it opened. Best fish and chips we’ve ever had. We’ve been pretty regular weekly since.

Called in the first night they opened and have been back about 5 times since. Every time the fish and chips are lovely, the fish is freshly cooked to order and both fish and batter are great. Great to have a local chippy again and such a good one at that!

Lovely had chips and battered sausage. Really nice to have a chippy back in the village. My only reason for not 5 star would be quantity. Ordered a x2 regular chips and both portions of chips didn't feel very generous for the price, you would have thought we'd ordered a small cone. Both hubby and I were still hungry after eating.
But the taste and quality was spot on! So big thumbs up for that. :)
