Best KPortal Reviews
Authentic Portuguese. Delicious meats and seafood. Chef's prawns were phenomenal - generous portion of large prawns perfectly done with garlic, wine, and spices. Enjoy your starters slowly as your meats grill and seafood prepared. Lovely staff.
We waited for close to an hour for the mains which was ridiculous, the restaurant wasn’t even half way full. The seafood rice is very watery and doesn’t taste fresh, many better options on this road
Machico
Great experience
this restaurant offers typical Portuguese dishes really well done it is not the usual restaurant for tourists but it is a restaurant where a person who wants to eat truly Portuguese can easily go and spend less money then a normal restaurant
The atmosphere is homely and you can breathe Portuguese scents and colors the dishes are really very abundant especially if you choose the dishes from the menu of the day which I recommend
I was ordering that dishes:
Cozido à portuguesa
Caldeirada de peixe
Simply good
I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a pleasant lunch in a pleasant atmosphere
Lovely food, friendly staff, limited space. Very good prices and atmosphere.
Stopped in this place out of the blue and really liked it. Being from the US, there are some small culture differences that I had to adjust for, like not serving water with the meal, and a severe shortage of paper wipes, but the food and value was amazing. I had the grilled pork belly and it came with lovely rice and fries. I like my fries a bit more brown and crispy than these were but I'm sure they'd do that for me if I asked, in the future . Also had a delightful bean soup. The flavors were amazing and everything was hot and fresh. Lovely glass of house red too. Would definitely come back!
