Was recommended this place from another garage, but when I called to try and book a time to have my car looked at the guy on the phone was completely disinterested in helping. Kept telling me how much his rate was, and it was up to me if I wanted to drop off off and waste my money getting a diagnostic.
They were so unhelpful and quite frankly, rude, trying to dissuade a customer from using them!
Also kept repeating that he couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it a week ago when I had trouble - I think that’s fairly obvious until it’s looked at! No idea why he kept saying that.
My car certainly needs looking at, but I will be going elsewhere to a place that will help and be bothered to take the time to examine the faults on my car.

Warning lights came on , running lights and dip fault. Took it in telling them I believe its the headlight module . Stripped the headlight to pieces charging me £144 for the trouble to then tell me I need a new headlight £600 plus vat and labour. Refused . Got second opinion and all it needed was a £25 headlight module and 40 minutes to fit. No interest in the fix , just wanted a grand from me . Worst case £144 for their time. Most people would demand their money back . I didn't. Hope this review is more costly.

Required new connector off loom, Arnold Clark wanted £160 just to diagnose issue. Guys diagnosed and fitted part required for £66. Dropped off and collected in 3 hours. Very clean fix, fast and efficient.

I had a very positive experience with Mac Auto Electric. Extremely helpful and professional. I had been quoted over £400 by another garage for a repair but using a specialist auto electric company I was saved the cost of a new part which would have been in the region of £300. I am delighted with their customer service and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
