Best KPortal Reviews
I always stop here in the middle of my dog walk for a coffee & a bite to eat. The coffee is first class served in lovely mugs. The cakes are delicious. Very responsibility price. Absolute bonus that it is dog friendly. Today I tried the hot chocolate, it was fabulous, smothered in cream & marshmallows.
This place is great, affordable and staff were very polite and friendly.
Key points are it is small inside, but had a huge outdoor seating area. Coffees were good but Americano wasn't very strong (probably my bad)
Finally the owner was a proper gentleman he even offered drinks to council workers outside for free as they were grafting in the sun.
Can't wait to go back. Thanks for being awesome
Disappointing. Coffee was weak and cup smelled funny. Football commentary on the radio rather loud. Black mould on toilet wall. All of which I would have overlooked, if he hadn't charged my friend for the cake he didn't give me! If there had been more than 3 people or more than 6 cakes in the shop and oversight might have been excusable.
Great little place for a coffee or a toastie. Dog friendly.
Staff are polite and respectful, and accommodating.
Would recommend the locally made cakes or cocktails.
In the evening the shop turns into a cocktail bar with food from next door.
We are regulars and would recommend for anyone who wants a decent coffee ☕️
Without a doubt the best coffee in Bispham. I've never had a bad cup here. The owner is always very accommodating, families dogs and really anyone is welcome. Delicious toasties also. I'd recommend this place for a spot of lunch inside or outside on the terrace, a brew and cake with a dog walk or a nice iced latte if walking with a sleeping baby! So versatile and never disappoints!
I had a vegan cheese toastie and partner had a cheese and chorizo one. Both tasted absolutely amazing, would highly recommend!! Nice friendly atmosphere, owners are extremely friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Again, would highly recommended if you're visiting Blackpool
Finally, an independent coffee shop in Blackpool that knows how to make coffee!! Great, great coffee. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when the shop is quiet I feel like whispering because it's so small I feel like the staff/other tables are listening to every word (sure they're not, but they're just there so it feels like it).
Updated 2024: Sorry I'm downgrading this due to to the rudeness of the owner/manager and him always wanting to sit you at one of the tables at the back if there is one or two of you, even when the cafe is completely empty (just in case a larger group want to come in and sit at the window). No thanks.
Update 8th Feb 2024 in response to the owner's reply.
1. You have clearly got the wrong person as I wasn't alone and there were no reserved signs on the tables. You just told us we couldn't sit in the window. It was months ago and I haven't been in your cafe again. Nor will I be.
2. Your reply is incredibly passive aggressive.
3. You don't need other people to destroy your reputation. It's your own attitude and how you deal with customers that is doing that all by itself. I'm local and know others who think the same.
4. "punishing me because of the size of my shop" ????
5. I really don't believe that you were sorry that you were rude or abrupt. If you were, you'd stop being rude and abrupt. You thought you were replying to another customer so the chances are you were being rude and abrupt to her too.
6. "I'm really sorry you feel you have to act this way towards a small business" You're not sorry for my bad experience with you - you're sorry that I left a review. Classic apologising without apologising. Because you're a small business does that mean it's OK to be rude? What has being a small business to do with anything? You're running a customer facing business. If your customers aren't happy then they won't leave good reviews. That is in your hands.
