Went to pick up order as over a hour for delivery. Picked up to return home, duck was cremated and inedible. They first of all moaned as I asked for everything to be redone, there response was "what just because of the duck" not appreciating we wanted all the food together hot. having to drive back there to recollect. Handed original order back and returned home. Duck was still once again inedible and disgusting. Will never return and will advise anyone else to go elsewhere.
Lucky star? More like 5 stars! Really lovely food, we had spring rolls, mushroom rice noodles, bean curd in black bean sauce, chips, honey ribs and chicken in breadcrumbs. Was all really tasty and we planned on saving some for tomorrow but we ate all of it, whoops! Only suggestion I would make is to make people aware of wait times and be more honest. Driver told us on arrival that he was the only one working tonight which is why our delivery was half an hour later than what we were initially told (1hr 15 rather than 45 minutes). Most people are happy to wait if they know how long they are waiting for!
Had chinese from there on Sunday apparently new chef well I had food poisoning from there had to go to doctors Monday still off work now left with bloating and needing to be close to toilet still today and it is Thursday avoid at all costs if you know what is good for you I have also reported them they deserve to be closed down new chef never ever again
Use this regularly and always had a great meal , decent portions not over stuffed with bit n bobs to pack it out like some places and vey reasonably priced. Meal has always compared to restaurant that does take away
Very nice food. Great Delivery service the guy was really polite and helpful. The only thing was the wait is about 45 minutes but not bad for a Saturday night and it was worth it! Really enjoyed it I would recommend it!
Whilst ordering the delivery, the lady taking the order moaned that I wanted to pay by card and not cash. When the delivery turned up an hour late, everything was dry, cold and flavourless. Rang the takeaway back to tell them this, only to be told that’s how it comes, it’s supposed to be like that. You can probably guess I wouldn’t recommend Lucky Star

Absolutely terrible experience
Turned up 3 hours late
Food was just warm so needed reheating
Pork dish was just water
Chicken was raw and thrown straight in the bin
1 dish was missing
Chowmein and rice dishes were made of concrete and had to be dissected, if you need a new drive way you know who to go to
If you want to taste food then please don't bother,
Chicken balls were quite good though!
Duck was just bones
Delivery driver dropped the food off and didn't speak because of the pure disappointment
Please avoid at all costs, if you want something with taste please purchase a kershaws roast dinner and heat it with a match stick, will save you a substantial amount of money
Waiting for the food poisoning to hit in a couple of hours!!!
Honest review, only visiting so feel for the locals, I'm sure this will be out of business soon so shouldn't be a long term issue for the surrounding area.
