I ordered the vegetable spring rolls and my partner said he couldn’t believe they sent those out of the kitchen… I also got chicken cashew and it made me gag. Not nice flavours and the taste of chicken made me spit it out.

It’s hard to find a decent Chinese in Buxton as they can be very hot or miss and a lot of my old regulars have gone downhill. Had our first take away from here and everything was top notch. The chips are unreal, crispy as heck. Noodles were delish. And the battered king prawns, well best I’ve probably ever had. We will definitely be returning! Generous portions and reasonably priced!
Went here today and the food was nice, friendly staff and came in 20 minutes, definitely would go again
Service was fine but the food was far too salty with a lack of much else. Definitely the most disappointing Chinese I have had in Buxton and as a family we get one every other week. Out of 5 of us no one finished their food. The salt and pepper squid was like salted leather. This is our weekly treat and just wish and I hadn't strayed from our usual safe choices which are a world apart from this.
Tried this local takeaway for a change from my normal. What a nice surprise. Multiple starters and mains were ordered for a group of 8 people. The food was ready at the time stated, piping hot and there was nothing forgotten or missed from the order.
All the dishes were a good serving and everything was really tasty.
Will definitely use the Lucky House again.
We've had a few takeaways from here since their revamp, and they are always good. Plenty of veggie options too, with lots of tofu dishes. Quick delivery as well.
We have always used this takeaway as our first choice and have always enjoyed it especially the chicken curry and the crispy duck. Unfortunately tonight when we got back and opened up our order it seems they have changed the chicken curry and it was horrible cheap Rubery chicken and tasteless sauce very poor to what we are used to also the quarter crispy duck was terrible it was so over cooked it was like a brick and so dry it was inedible and that was the same with the salt and pepper ribs which also used to be soo good but have now been changed I'm guessing this place may have changed owners this is very disappointing as this was such a good takeaway. In my opinion it was the best Chinese in buxton but tonight I think it has been the worst I've ever had. Don't think we will be back again
Lucky House is the best Chinese in Buxton.
The service from start to finish is fantastic.
They remember us when we order and are extremely pleasant.
The delivery is second to none, a very polite young man who arrives efficiently and wishes you a nice evening which in this day and age is a breathe of fresh air, instead of moody teens.
The food itself is as fresh as a daisy.
Couldn’t recommend Lucky House enough and already have to friends and family.
We’ve not been anywhere else since!
