Order was over an hour late. Could tell food wasn't freshly cooked. Must have been sat ages.
Soggy chicken just didn't enjoy it at all shame as last one we had was really nice!! This has put me off ordering from here again.
My sons from down south had come up over the Christmas and New Year period and we were up in Scotland for over 10 days. They always look forward to our favourite Chinese takeaway in Normanton, which we have been using for 2 decades.
However, after starving ourselves all day on the drive back from Scotland, we called them to put in our order and sacre coeur, they were closed until the 16th January!!! What do we do. We should have just left it and raid the freezer but no, we decided to give Lucky Dragon a go having read all the inspirational good reviews.
We put in an order to collect based on what we would normally order and immediately the difference in price was very noticeable and not in our favour.
The food was disappointing, smaller portions than what we were used to, and runny curry sauce etc etc and the only item we all agreed were exceptional were the free prawn cracker!!
I'm not one to throw food away but the whole meal went into the bin and we raided the freezer for chips and fish fingers, served with baked beans. I shall never go there again.
Been living in Sydney for the last 8 years and came back for a visit. Over here, the Chinese food is meant to be more authentic than in the UK.
We tried a different Chinese takeaway a few years ago and it did taste terrible because we had gotten used to the new taste.
We ordered from Lucky Dragon on our visit over and were pleasantly surprised. It tasted like any good Chinese restaurant here. But with more choice on the menu :)

Asked on Facebook for recommendations and a few recommended here. We ordered and was told 20mins for collection. The lady that served us was welcoming and polite. Average prices.
Our food was so nice, probably the best Chinese takeaway we’ve had in a long time. It was also very hot.

Not been for a long time, was hesitant to get it from there. It was the best takeaway I have had for a long time. I would definitely recommend this place.
The food here is really nice and always cooked with fresh ingredients. The chicken chow mein is delicious, and the sweet and sour chicken balls are big and tasty! Other dishes to try are the salt and pepper chicken, crispy chilli chicken. The counter and entrance area is always clean and tidy. The people that work there are nice and friendly. I always collect my order, the food is cooked freshly, and you don't have to wait long. It has one of the best set meal menus. The menu is big and offers something for everyone and the prices are reasonable. It's a little bit cheaper than other Chinese takeaways in the area, and the food is fantastic, give it a try!
