Carrot cake, coffee and walnut cake, Victoria sponge - all amazing.
The coffee was nice and strong and they offered oat milk too.
Hot chocolate could of been better but still enjoyable.
Only one girl working with many tables to serve which meant service was slower however she managed very well!
Lovely service and friendly staff. So professional.. Had the tea and teacake for just £2.95 a weekday special. Tea and teacake all good.
Lovely little place for lunch. Reasonably priced and decent portions. I had a tasty omelette and we also had soup and sandwich plus quiche with chips and salad. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Spacious clean interior. Definitely worth a visit.
Absolutely horrified when a young visually impaired girl with her guide dog was told to leave the premises so that the dog could drink it's water outside!!!
Apparently, drinking it's water from it's own bowl contravenes health and safety!! Really???
One of our lunchtime favourites. The service has always been excellent, with only one exception when a new waitress was on duty! The food is tasty and well presented, and the portions always decent. A nice setting.
July 2018: Not quite the same quality of service today, but the food was as nice as ever.

I had jackets potato with prawn and Marie rose sauce fellow diners had a cooked breakfast which I definitely will try next time
Well, my wait for my lunch was worth it. I had absolutely delicious creamy garlic mushrooms on 2 thick slices of toast with a substantial salad. It was really yummy. This was accompanied by a large Americano with hot milk which was also really nice.
The only reason that I have awarded it four stars for service was because I had to wait a long time but, having chatted to the lovely woman who was serving, I realised the cafe was shortstaffed. I will be back!! Thank you
My 1st visit here with friends for lunch, all our choices were delicious, freshly cooked, and served with a smile! I will visit this cafe again.
