Stunning views, drove past around 10am, very serene and beautiful
Love this Loch, can be a challenge with the wind from the shore and also midges however if catch it on the right day it produces some lovely fish.
Gorgeous loch, stretching out over a large area, great for walks, canoeing, and with lovely places to eat, drink, relax, whether on the way somewhere else, or to stop for a day or two or more around the loch. The Invershin Hotel and Lodges is a great place to start or end up!
Beautiful, peaceful, majestic, quiet Loch in the North.
Loch Shin is 17 miles long and for a great length is very remote. If you want seclusion and loneliness this is the area for you. The town of Lairg is at the southern end of Loch Shin and has shops, petrol station, accommodation and places to eat.
Lovely location. Stop in Lairg and have a look at The Wee Hoose on a small island in the loch, a notice board tells you the history of the hoose.
Good for a stop. Lairg and the loch are nice and not crowded. There should be more cafes and dining facilities.
