Very nice pub that catered for locals and visitors. We were visiting from Narberth and they put on the Liverpool vs Sheffield United game for us upstairs, sorted out the pool table and had Staropramen on tap at a good price. Highly recommend!
We stopped off for a late evening drink at this popular pub in Newport. It is town center and is open Wednesday to Sunday. Wet sales only with a lovely pint of Reverend James on offer. A good selection of beers, lagers and spirits served by the happy staff and friendly landlady Yvonne. Well worth a visit just to sit in the beautiful beer garden on a sunny day. To reach this you have to climb a flight of stairs.

We were here yesterday for my cousins Robs wake. Nice surroundings. Good prices and very friendly staff. Had stake and was cooked perfect

Dropped in here whilst waiting for s takeaway pizza at the nearly Canteen. Traditional type pub with lots of interesting paraphernalia, frequented mainly by locals. We were given a warm welcome. Good range of beers. Good venue for sports lovers as there were big screens in the bar - and upstairs had even bigger screens and additional seating. They don’t serve food but it’s a great place for a few pints - we would have gone back if time on our stay in Newport had allowed.
I don't drink but the bar Lady made me a tea late at night whist my friends all merry. That's enough for 5 stars in my book. Very welcoming.
Good beer and a proper pub with sports to watch.
