Easier access than Harlech beach so good for those who struggle with the dunes. In the summer it's split in to dog friendly/non dog friendly sections although not strictly followed. Clean bathing water, lots of seaweed and rocks this end though. Toilets in the car park and a handy cafe that serves fresh ice cream, lollies, coffee/tea and light food. Parking is paid in car park but can park along the verge further up the road (it gets incredibly busy during peak holiday season)
Been coming here since the mid sixties, very peaceful and serene place, if you want a quiet holiday this is the place for you. Harlech and the surrounding area are very beautiful.
Simply the most beautiful beach backed by the Rhinoggau mountains with views across to yr Wyddfa and over the Llyn Peninsula. Crystal clear water and a mostly sandy beach. Large parts accessible to dogs. Clean!
Good beach for dog walks. As for Harlech beach dogs are permitted all year round on one side of the beach. There’s a handy cafe next to the ample parking. Also, there’s Y Maes, grassland owned by the National Trust and used by the local sheep farmers, so please, if you have a disobedient dog or one that is likely to chase and injure, ensure it’s on a lead!
One of our favourite beaches in the area. A combination of sand, shells and shingle with a nice cafe by the car park and public toilets. The beach gently shelves into the sea. Watch out for dog poos however as we saw a lot in the road and also on the sand...
Lovely beach with amazing views. Absolutely beautiful. A tad windy on our visit so we didn’t managed to put up the shelter. Sweet little cafe serving simple but tasty fare. Loos ok but no soap or hand drying in the ladies apparently. Lovely little church in the dunes too. With a beautiful prayer cairn.
It's a sandy beach but with rocks to one end which kids can climb on and rock pools to fish in. We went shell hunting with some success. You can see mountains across the sea. It's very pretty.
Lovely, sandy stretch of the beach which is not crowded until you walk down to Harlech. Popular for dog walkers.
