Tired and dilapidated. Crockery chipped and not clean. The whole area wasn't clean, corridors entrance etc. Everything was tatty, needs major refurbishment. No food on display to tempt just plain, bland counter tops to look at. The lady who served us tried her best and was very pleasant. We are grateful for small mercies.
I always enjoy stopping at the Little Chef, especially the one at Colsterworth. The last 2 or 3 times I've stopped there, the Chef was a girl called Molly. She prepared my Olympic Breakfast in good time, it was served hot, and it was very tasty. As it happened, she also took my payment afterwards, and she was very sociable and friendly. I left a tip, because I couldn't see how she could have done any more to make my stop relaxing and enjoyable. I have chosen to send a review this time, because I noticed some bad reviews, which surprised me. My experiences at Colsterworth Little Chef have all been good, and especially Molly.
Dreadful. It had been years since I visited a Little Chef & will be many more years before I try one again.
I had what should have been a very simple Scrambled Eggs & Bacon and a Coffee and it was all terrible - and they got the order wrong at the first attempt!!!
The eggs clearly came from a rubber chicken & the bacon from a micro pig. Somehow the tiny rashers of cremated bacon were both dry & greasy. The meal was dwarfed by a stack of tasteless toast made from the cheapest bread.
The only redeeming feature was the massively overworked server who never stopped while I was there - and was polite & welcoming. Though that was not enough to grant an additional star considering the rest was so terrible - and overpriced.
We eat in a LOT of little chefs as we think they are value for money, clean and enjoyable food .. HOWEVER; This has to be the WORST ever that we have stopped to eat in .. Incorrect orders brought out, forgot my drink, Dirty tables and floor, Chips tasted like they were fried in DIRTY oil and to top it all we was charged twice .. the Lady on the till did NOT know what she was doing and was unwelcoming, with a miserable face throughout our visit .. DO NOT EAT IN Colsterworth 'Little Chef' STOP and eat in the Doncaster Little Chef' .. completely the opposite GREAT Food and LOVELY Staff
Staff attitude disgraceful, food quality poor and disgusting, a complete lack of customer service, I'm not sure if the staff even know what that means. Don't bother wasting your time or money as it's an embarrassment to the restaurant industry!
Welcome to little chef Grantham where you will be greated by a mob of illegal immigrants. Enter the establishment where friendly staff forget you paid for tea but forgot to give it you. Then get your tea but make it yourself around the corner for which I can only describe as a bin. Then take a seat in the express restaurant ???? where only 3 small tables serve the many customers. After the hearthy meal, why not have a go in the games room, some might compare to Vegas. After all done, visit the toilets ???? where you will be subject to what I can only describe as a sewer. Sorry thats not fair on the sewers. Before you leave, it's best to get a health check or better, quarantined ????, just to be on the safe side. Why travel when you can relax in the travel lodge next door which looks like a place where pigeons go to die ????

Dear valued reviewer, thank you for your review. We have the highest rating of health and safety (rated by Zapeta). We have a fat old woman who makes the teas and cleans the pissers (no gloves needed) when she can be arsed. Talking of pissers, we are the first service station to offer a open plan urinal where you can piss anywhere. All the illegal immigrants have now left, they hitched a lift back to Syria where they said it was safer. Look forward to seeing you next time,

One of the shabbiest Little Chefs I have come across. Staff were pleasant but have been given a rotten job with lots deleted from the menu with marker pen. Can't recommend stopping here.
Poor service, unwelcoming staff, my sausage was soggy! I would rather eat cardboard than their cheap excuse for bread. The seats were Dirty and the tables were greasy.
