The American breakfast was actually quite tasty but for over 7 quid (not including a drink) it really is a puny portion. Wasn't too happy. There was a strong smell of urine in the restaurant as well. The waitress was lovely.
Good solid breakfast at a good price. Quick service.
Hard to find. Premises dated. Was greated with "take a seat " good morning, thank you were clearly not part of the vocabulary of staff. Waitress could not even get a simple order correct. Not great value for money when compared to the Harvester chain where for the same price you get unlimited everything freshly cooked. I would give this particular Little Chef a miss.
In my opinion, the Burger King franchise at this location is the worst in the UK for speed of service. I visited during a mid afternoon 'not particularly busy' period (there were 4-5 people in front of me) but it took almost 30 minutes to be served with my order.
The staff didn't know how to operate the tills and were even making jokes between themselves such as (and I quote directly) "It's like the blind leading the blind in here".
To any Burger King customers who may be potential visitors to this place, if I can give you one tip. It would be to carry on to the next motorway services with a Burger King where I am absolutely sure your customer service experience will be better than this sorry excuse for a Burger King restaurant... HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED
The food was good, service quick but a little too quick. We arrived at 2.20pm and the emphasis was on us having to be out of there by 3pm as they were shutting. The diner looked shabby although surfaces were clean.
Friendly and efficient service, food good - kids love it! The toilets could do with an overhaul, there's a strange damp smell which is a bit overwhelming, but they are a darn sight better than the Shell garage's next door!
Staff lovely..food good...place not so good just because you are changing to Star Bucks doesnt mean you let the place go down hill. Closing at 3pm whats that all about? People still need feeding at night when staying in the Travelodge
Overall it's good place to visit as you break your journey on the M6 at junction 16. It could do with a revamp and a lick of paint.
The staff are friendly, and the food was well presented. I will call again
