1 star is a bit to good but you have to start somewhere, 4 days trying to get a simple repeat prescription for a medication I've been using for over 40 years but cannot renew without a Doctors telephone appointment to review it. Can't register with the online as it seems to think I'm my wife, can't get through on the phone, frustrating is not even close.
Now imagine those on pay as you go and no Internet, they will basically have no service at all, little bit like the rest of us.
Great news someone finally answered the phone, sorry no appointments left call back tomorrow, seriously you couldn't make it up.
On hold for hours and then when they do answer and you’re in the middle of explaining why you needed the appointment they hang up on you. So then you have to ring back and be on hold again. The staff at the pharmacy are so rude and dismissive while they are all back there having a nice chat while people are waiting for their medications to be ready. Honestly I wish I was with another gp. The website anima as well has a ridiculous waiting time for a response. I submitted a request for some pregnancy safe nasal antihistamines two days ago and they still haven’t responded I am suffering really badly with my hay fever at the minute and can’t sleep because of how badly it is and this is how long I have to wait. I am still on hold waiting to get through!!!!! 1hr and 40 minutes!!!!!
Rang up for my repeat prescription to be told because I haven't rang up in time it's now cancelled...can't get a call back for over 2 weeks from today ....I was told to phone 111 to get a prescription. When I told her I didn't agree? and nowonder there is so many vulnerable adults Take there lives she terminated the call....
I’d give no stars if I could!! Booked an appointment on line, took over a week for them to get back and hadn’t read my notes I put on about availability. Appointment was not visible on my app so I couldn’t cancel it. Rang Lintonville and when you select the number to cancel an appointment it tells you to do it on line and cuts you straight off. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT THAT ISN’T ON YOUR APP??!!! Finally got through to staff, attitude was disgraceful who informed me that people who needed an appointment would get time off work to attend their appointment - easier said than done. Customer training is def required for staff. I very much doubt that they would like to be lectured/spoken to the way they do to patients. This surgery has definitely gone downhill and is not fit for purpose. The CQC needs to investigate this practice.
Have a severe throat infection. Have been trying to get an appointment for 2 days without success. Spoke to a pharmacist who confirmed I need antibiotics. Can't get through their app at the doctors. You can't telephone for appointment and you can't go to reception to get an appointment. Meanwhile the infection is spreading.
I want to give negative stars for this surgery. Since moving to Ashington I and my family have repeatedly been let down. The surgery front staff show disrespect, access to general services is like pulling teeth, no one takes responsibility for your care, they are only interested in getting you out the door quickly. It was hard enough to get an appointment, now for the patients convenience they have made it harder with Anima which absolutely a waste of time. Anima is not available when it’s convenient for the patient. Once you open an Anima case they close it without doing anything writing a message saying please contact us if this is incorrect. I am so frustrated with this surgery and want to find way to complain that actual works.
Trying to get an appointment to review my meds before they'll give me another batch. Used the Anima system. (Like I need another login and password to remember!)
Said they'd ring me Wednesday, I had no call, no missed calls, nothing on my landline either.
Tried to speak to someone today, they just don't answer the phone.
Logged it again on Anima.
What are we supposed to do? I googled other Doctors in the area and from their reviews they're all the same.
Most doctors are fine but getting to see them is a nightmare. The admin side is shocking. Incredibly difficult to make an appointment, relies entirely on an app that sometimes doesn't work.
I went in to pick up a prescription and thought I'd make an appointment for my eldest while there and was told 'no, you MUST use the app' despite me standing right in front of her.
They also made repeated mistakes with my child's medication (ordering the incorrect amounts or missing off one of the drugs from the order to the pharmacy).
Used to be a great surgery but went off a cliff in the last few years.
