Lovely food when it finally arrived. Came for friends birthday at 5 30pm before going to the forum for a show at 7 30. Food ordered we got the soup and spare ribs. Then waited over an hour for the rest of the food which was lovely but not happy as we had to rush it to get to the theatre in time. We kept asking them where it was people were coming in and finishing the meal and leaving before our food arrived. Motto don’t go there if you are going to the theatre or allow 3 hours as we only allowed 2
Has the potential to be a really good restaurant, the food is spot on, but the service is one of the worst I've ever encountered.
Booked a table and seated straight away when we arrived, ordered drinks then ignored for 20 mins. Finally ordered and waited about 40 mins for our food to arrive.
Others weren't so lucky 1 table had been there 2 hours and had ordered extra food to take away, they had hadn't even started cooking it when they went to leave, another table had there starters and gave up waiting for their main, paid for the starter and left.
Delicious great value food at this restaurant that is an old establishment here in Billingham. The owner told me they've had the restaurant 50 years!
We went at the end of the lunch on a Saturday and there were 4 other tables so there was a nice relaxed ambience.
The lunch menu is incredible value, 3 courses for 6.50. Mum & dad had soup of the day (minestrone with bread roll), beef with vegetables, battered prawns and chips, ice cream and pineapple. I had a main off the normal menu - peking beef (doesn't come battered/crispy) with chips. We had teaa for drinks.
We were really looked after and the final bill was extremely reasonable. Really recommend coming for a casual weekend lunch and supporting this local establishment
Very nice food and service but premises are now outdated and still looking 1970's. Think this part of town centre is to be demolished soon and Li Wah will be rehomed elsewhere in the town centre.
King prawn curry with roast pork and egg fried rice excellent value. Beautiful food
Ordered 2 duck meal takeaways the duck was overcooked and was inedible with thick skin attached. Will not be going back.
The Manager/owner is the most miserable so and so I have ever met, he needs lessons in how to treat customers and staff. Used to go quite often but won't be going again.????
Lovely restaurant friendly staff food always hot and presentable fair price
