We visited last night and had a lovely evening. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We loved all of our food, which was well-priced. Drink princes were quite reasonable, too. The staff weren't 100% knowledgeable on what was vegan, but they were helpful. Since writing, have seen the hygiene rating
A great Thai restaurant, the food and decor were both of a very high standard and the service was excellent. The green curry is one of the best I have tasted and the other dishes I have tried have all been of a similarly high standard.
Having read through the reviews below I have to agree with the comment made by the owner that the majority of the negative reviews were most likely made by the competition. The food was cooked to a very high standard being neither bland, frozen or dry and from the comments I could overhear from the other diners on the tables around me I was not alone in enjoying the meal.
We have eaten all over Worthing, and tried all the Thai, Chinese, cuisines on offer and we rate lemon grass by far the best for taste, freshness, hot straight from the kitchen value for money dining.
There are other restaurants that give a great service too, and provide delicious
food but I believe that lemongrass has the edge over them! The others failed on either, price, because the portions were smaller, or warm not hot when they arrived to your table.' I have read other reviews on this restaurant and feel I needed to add mine' because some of the negative ones seemed so unusual that I felt they were either unlucky on the night or must be made up by a competitor. All in all I'm very contented to eat there, best to see for yourself, cheers, happy dining !
This was a very disappointing evening, I do not understand how this restaurant still survive with their attitude to service, customers and most important food quality. Waiter came to take our order, he had no clue of what is actually happening or what was on the menu available for our 4 course meal. After TWICE us changing our order we still were confused what was available so another waitress step in which just showed her arrogant attitude and dissatisfaction - we had to change our order once again - surprise, surprise. Starters arrived - £5.95 for 1 spring roll and decorated radish, you must be joking. Mains arrived, no flavour, no texture, not Thai at all. Ordered curry - received watery soup with 3 strips of beef - £9.95 - well done guys you know how to make your profit. I was sitting straight looking to kitchen and that looked awful, more dished went out from microwave rather then from the pan. Last course should be chosen from coffee, tee or ice cream. When water arrived he will not let us to choose it and only gave us Baileys on ice (he also told us this in on the house) he should be a comedian, i paid for it!!!!! Senior management were only standing next to the bar and did not even tried to rectify all situation or step in. And the last bit, we live in 21st century and 10% service change on the bill all long gone, they are still stuck in 1980. No one leave them a tip so for that reason they have decided to include this in the bill - Bravo. Avoid this place as you will be disappointed too, you will waist your money and have a ruined evening.
The food is really delicious and the service is quite. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be going again and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic service. They made us feel welcomed and at home. Great sence of humour, food absolutely wonderful. Definitely eating here again. 5
Star all the way!!!!
Lovely Thai restaurant in Worthing recently taken over and being run by a nice couple. Food is great and restaurant has an extensive menu. Not expensive at all. Very happy with our experience here and will be returning.
This used to be my favourite Thai restaurant in Worthing, but recently, the prices have shot through the roof and the portion sizes have diminished.
The plum sauce that came with my duck samosas and sweet chilli sauce I ordered last night was only about 3mm deep in the little pot. My sticky rice came in a 'boil-in-the-bag' bag thrown into a takeaway tub.
