Worth the visit to see what services were like in the 70s. Is like a monster movie set. The Costa feels like it was shoved into an old people’s home and did not quite fit. The lodge was so generally scary I dared not look. Place is great. Worth a visit just to see this place. Fair play to those who work thier.

For some reason we end up stopping here a lot. The selection of food outlets is pretty awful, so we have started bringing a packed lunch. The location is hilarious, the best part of a mile back off the A1. I guess it is like the Bates Motel, "they moved the highway". It dies have ample parking, decent loos and a petrol station.

Basic amenities if you need to stop, but feels tired and is in desperate need of an update. No baby change facilities in the men's room so you would need a key to access the one in the disabled toilet, but there is a fold down changing table in the ladies room. Needs resurfacing as there are very large potholes that are difficult to avoid.

Scheduled stop to charge my car at the Grid Serv charging point.

Never used this service before but was totally blown away how fast and efficient the Grid Serv chargers are.

Plenty of spaces so don't have to wait.

Very impressed will definitely recommend.

Straight forward just plug in and tap your card on the contactless payment and away it goes .

On a long journey we decided to stop for a food break. But was disappointed with the place. It needs to be updated as its looking tired. Such a shame as back in the day was used and kept in good order.

Okay Motorway Services in North Yorkshire. Decent amount of parking (visited on a Sunday evening). Plenty of space in toilets though bit basic. Costa Coffee open on site, though restaurant sadly shut at this time.

Okay stop for toilets but limited other options - do note there is a McDonalds a few minutes walk away.

Tried to charge £7.80 for a packet of fruit pastilles at petrol station.no price on display.hassle to get money refunded.they were still £3.80.check your receipts.rip off

Convenient, in both meanings, stop on a long journey from south to north. Off the main road and less crowded than most service stations.
