I absolutely love this place, in my opinion it's definitely one of the top restaurants in Yorkshire! I've eaten there several times now and the food is incredible every single time I visit. I like that everything is made with fresh ingredients and that everything is sourced locally so even though it's a French restaurant, it still has a really local, Yorkshire feel to it.
The interior is gorgeous, it's warm enough to take your sweater off but not at all stuffy and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and welcoming. The staff have got to be the most friendly bunch I've had the pleasure to be served by in any restaurant but they aren't intrusive. The restaurant is busy but your waiter is always right there when you need him (or her). They don't just serve you, they actually care about you.
Although the Spice Box faces out on to the Boston Spa High Street there are two quiet car parks, one within sight and the other just a minute or so walk away and both are free. I felt safe in both, even after dark.
This restaurant is fine dining in Yorkshire at it's very best and you must try it!
Lovely food and good pricing, early bird menu exceptionally great value for money. French dining for everyone. Professional staff. Quiet mid-week and nice atmosphere.
Really impressed. Saturday lunch was near perfect, calamari, cod, steak all superbly cooked with a special mention for the calamari, a very common starter but this was very special!
