Ordered online 28th Jan. Stated 70 minutes for delivery. 80 minutes later no sign of food. Rang the number and was told by the owner/manager that they were busy but they were just waiting on the driver to arrive back and it was on its way. ||2 hours later and no food. I ended up driving up to find that the delivery driver had JUST got into his car with my order and 4 others. 2 hours after I ordered and was still going to be delivered with others. ||The driver gave me the food so I could go and speak with the manager. When i went into the restaurant that was said to be “busy”. There was 8 people. 8! Two tables worth. ||When the manager came out the kitchen his attitude was truly shocking. Offered a 10% refund! I laughed. 10% for a meal that was ordered over two hours earlier and I had to go and pick up myself! Complete joke. Still now haven’t had my refund. ||This is the second time that they have been shocking. ||Genuinely a great restaurant/ Indian takeaway has really gone down hill. I won’t be returning or recommending
Online order accepted with delivery time of 1830 it didn’t turn up.
As received no contact from restaurant I left messages on their answerphone no response so went down there and restaurant was shut.
This has happened to me once before and on another occasion had a table booked and it was shut when we arrived.
It is a great shame as we have eaten their many times and the food was excellent.
It would appear from other posts that this is a common occurrence so regretfully I would suggest using a more reliable establishment.
Have always used this restaurant but this will be the last time. The quality of the curry used to be amazing but now it is a generic tomato based recipe. All the sides have halved in portion size and were greasy. Such a shame!
Great food and genuinely fantastic atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough for you. The singer on the night was excellent and really funny. It’s one of those rare gems you stubble upon - definitely recommend.
I dined here Saturday evening (3/9) and I was overly disappointed with my visit. Myself and a friend were sat waiting to order our drinks for 20 minutes and then we finally ordered our food after an hour and 15 minutes with only a few other tables being served at the same time. Overall we were dining for 2 hours for 1 course of food and barely got acknowledged. There were also only 2 servers and one of which was obviously not very confident.
I have dined with here previously and thought it was great service but ultimately this time was not. As stated on other reviews about the restaurant seeming more interested in online orders, this was clear to see as multiple orders had gone out and everytime the computer went off it was quickly answered. The food was lovely but the service was absolutely shocking.
Have been ordering and dining here for years and this restaurant has always been consistently excellent. Food is delicious and arrives piping hot, service is great and staff are courteous and helpful. The young man with the red car is an excellent delivery man very friendly a great chat and goes the extra mile (no pun intended). 5/5
Had a delivery. Ordered a tandoori mixed grill received a chicken/lamb tikka and no nann. No salad, a tiny pot of sauce. Expensive delivery for what was received. Person on the phone was extremely rude. Never had a problem before, but after tonight's service and rudeness don't think I'll order again. Waste of £30
Very disappointed with this establishment!! After helping them out with a discounted gig for their charity event, a few weeks back, I was cancelled with 6 hours notice because they had cancellations for an event I was singing at. (I spent hours learning new material for this event) they asked me to lower my fee which I could not, therefore they cancelled me. When asked for a cancellation fee the refused and said because I didn’t help
Them then why should they help me! Totally shocking I’m a business too. You wouldn’t ask a tradesman to lower their fees because you can’t afford it!
To anyone booked to sing at this establishment or want to, I suggest you take an upfront deposit to cover you for when they cancel you. That was a mistake I will not make again. Very disappointed!!!
