What a shocking Chinese place these are meant to be salt and pepper chips Large????????And had to pay an extra 50p because of spuds going up???????????? chips are stale and ain’t even been seasoned never going there again another one that’s poo glad your closing down ain’t worth a penny
13/91/24 had takeaway this evening ,excellent meal S&S,pork, platter for 2, chips and curry & prawn crackers nice and fresh had it delivered, arrived piping hot, delicious, very enjoyable, reasonable price. My husband is a very, Very fussy eater when it comes to takeaways, & he said differently have that again. (Yippee, not often you hear that), 5 star from him & me. Thank you.
We recently moved house and stumbled across this place when walking the dog. So happy to see that it does vegan dishes - tofu, mock chicken and mock duck, in any sauce from their menu. We really enjoyed our meal, the prices are very reasonable and there were plenty of customers coming in and out - so it must be quite popular in the area. Very happy that this is our new local takeaway!
The food is poor, crispy seaweed tasted stale and was covered in lumps of what tasted like sugar. The beef in OK sauce appeared to be pieces of boiled beef in a lukewarm sauce and overloaded with onion slices. No flavour. Lastly the Noodles were chopped up into tiny small pieces - why? The people leaving good reviews must’ve never had decent a Chinese before!

Great Chinese ! I regularly eat Chinese cuisine and think that lantern palace food is one of the best I have had including restaurants I have eaten from. The quality and price of the food is brilliant and I am always very happy with the service. Highly recommend and is a secret gem !
Small portions, not good value for money. I wish I'd have taken pictures before I ate (some of ) it. All the dishes were the same colour and the only veg of any noticeable quantity was onion. I ordered crispy salt and pepper tofu and it was neither crispy nor salty. It was bland with rather a lot of cooking oil floating in the bottom of the container , which was the same with the other dishes. The vegetarian chilli dish I ordered was lacking in vegetables ! To be fair, he ribs were acceptable. A very small bag of prawn crackers. I won't be going here again.
Really tasty! Decent sized portions, (I've not managed to finish a portion of chow mein yet!) and reasonably priced.
Their English food is just as good, battered sausage is to die for from here! (don't forget gravy!) Friendly service and it always looks clean when we walk past.
