This used to be a great chippy, I live on the same street and used to go weekly on a Friday, It had changed hands over a year ago now and I only visited 1 time. Everything had changed, the oil the chips were cooked in had a flavour of spices that I wasn't expecting and didn't enjoy. Fish batter tasted the same unfortunately.
Service was fast and the staff friendly. I was the only customer at that time.
Overall not recommended. Though in complete fairness they had only just taken over at the time I visited. Maybe I should give it another try.
Very polite people. It was my first time there and I wasn't disappointed. Very tasty fresh to order chips and the curry sauce is banging.
As previously commented by another reviewer the chips are pretty dire. Undercooked to the point of some still being hard and rather greasy. This was before a football match so perhaps it might be better at other times

The chips and sausage were cooked fresh Infront of me. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

Highly recommend young chap explained everything is cooked fresh to order which is rare in Barnsley and most products are homemade but wow the donner meat was out of this world will definitely be back to try homemade chicken burgers 10/10
Food delicious, portion are more then enough and staff is really nice. We will definitely come back.
Went to get fish and chips as it says they are open to 8.15 Sunday but they were closed. Suggest that the owners update their opening hours.
