Good stay in this Lancaster Gate Hotel: excellent location in a quiet part of London, very close to Hyde Park for a good walk, oxygen, pictures of blossoming trees and daffodils. The staff at the desk is helpful and very professional. The cleaning team is making an impeccable work. The Hotel will be renovated soon. Let's hope it will keep his cachet, while making the rooms more soundproof. Overall 5 stars and we clearly recommend it.
It's an old hotel with creaky floors, flaking paint and mold. No sound insulation whatsoever - you'll be hearing your neighbors and slamming doors all the time. Rooms are tiny and a double bed barely fits two adults. Only instant coffee during the breakfast. The only positive side is location, which is close to a few underground stations as well as the bus stops. Attached a photo of the room window.
This hotel is in a good location just opposite to Hyde park. Close to the underground. The staff at the reception was friendly. The rooms and generally the hotel needs renovation, although the cleaning staff is an asset. The housekeeping could not possibly do any better than they do, especially in the bathroom. The room was very very clean besides the fact that requires a renovation. In the breakfast area, Mr George (Greek man) he was very attentive. Many thanks we might return soon
The service and welcome was very friendly and professional. Cleanliness is very good and breakfast offers a good variety of choice between continental and English breakfast. The personnel is very attentive. The hotel is only 6 minutes away on foot from Lancaster Gate underground and Hyde Park. Very well located in a beautiful part of London.
The location of this hotel is ideal. 15 minutes from Paddington, 8 minutes walk to a tube station and right by Hyde Park. The hotel was really nice, Yes, the rooms could do with a bit of updating, but our two rooms were really nice. Breakfast was good, went at 8:30 each morning and had no issues getting a table. Cooked breakfast choice is limited, but fine, although Coffee and Tea could be hotter! Would definitely stay here again.
First visit and very impressed with every aspect of our stay. Friendly welcoming staff, the rooms very clean and comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Great value for money will definitely stay again in future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Allot can be done to fix up the hotel.
Painting outside was chipping off.
Overall it was a good stay because of all the friendly staff.
TV is very outdated, can easily add smart tv each room.
Carpets should be removed immediately. It smells.
It has stains.
It creeks and cracks when you walk over it. You can easily wake up Your partner just by using the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Fridge was not working.
Construction work was being done next building while at our stay.
Nice hotel. Decor could do with updating. Lovely breakfast buffet. Although we had to queue we got a table quick enough. Tea coffee supplied .10 minute walk to paddington station. Reception staff pleasant.
