Just found the best pastry in London! The almond pistachio pain au chocolat is very impressive, super crispy and the sweetness is just right. The cortado is very good as well. We will be back to try everything!
The best cafe in Muswell Hill. Everything about it is wonderful. The pastries are otherworldly, the salads pack unbelievable flavour, and coffee is amongst the finest in London. The owner, Claire, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. And the cafe also doubles as a shop, selling everything from cookbooks and chutneys, to kombucha and old Miles Davis records. I adore this place.
The stuff they serve is great. Comfier seating needed. New tea/ coffee cups needed though. Also, turn the music up and tell the yummy mummies etc to pipe down a bit. Alsi, since they serve food, they really ought to tell people to keep their dogs outside the cafe (hint: it's called hygiene) ???? #standards

La Dinette is a beloved treasure of London. Everything on the menu is worth trying at least twice. Delicious stuff!!
Just to say that those pictures are out of date, most of the space is devoted to a shop and there isn’t really any indoor seating. More of a takeaway place with a couple of tables outside.
La Dinette is the perfect cafe for those who want to take their kids to a Broadway cafe without worry of judgement from other diners. Very child friendly. Great staff too. An array of books and toys and activities for kids to do and a great coffee too. I only had eggs and sourdough soldiers, a freshly squeezed OJ and a flatwhite, but they were perfect. Plenty of highchairs and space for pushchairs too.
Lovely little shop and cafe with a warm atmosphere. I didn’t have anything to eat/drink but almost everything is made on-site (wow!). Great variety of gifts, clothing and collectibles. Things were reasonably priced for such a place in London. I will be back!
