Exceptionally clean little cafe/restaurant in the heart of Whitchurch. Very friendly, helpful staff. Sensible menu, sticking to pizzas for mains with a lovely pizza oven. Pizzas were nice but not delicious - lacking a bit of flavour - herbs (basil), pepper....desserts looked good. Will have to visit in day to give them a try...
Bistro atmosphere where the staff take a keen interest in customer care.
Welsh Italian cooking with the intention of pleasing the palate with delectable fare.... simple food but excellent taste.

This is my favourite coffee shop in my village. Really good coffee, and excellent, freshly baked cakes. Their Paradiso cake is as light as a feather and goes perfectly with a cup of coffee.
Lovely little cafe, with fab and friendly service. Lovely Mocha and scrummy pizzas.
The freshly baked cakes and savouries are always to die for at La Cucina da Mara and with this in mind I asked if they would be able to make a dessert/cake for me for a special dinner party. I had previously tried their Paradiso cake which is scrumptious but I really wanted a chocolate cake. Speaking to Rita, one of the owners, she agreed to make a chocolate version of the Paradiso, filled with a chocolate cream and covered with a dark chocolate ganache. When I picked it up, it was beautifully decorated and trimmed with blueberries and raspberries.
It's safe to say that the cake went down a storm; it looked stunning - AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
Thank you Rita and Mark for your continuing great service and the outstanding quality of your food. You are an absolute brilliant addition to Whitchurch Village and long may it continue!
Visited here with colleagues for a casual dinner. I read the good reviews so booked a table. We loved it. In fact they were still talking about the pizza the day after! Its a shame I didn't have room for desserts. Maybe next time...
