It's refreshing to have a real Kurdish restaurant in Swansea. The portions were generous. Soup and tea were even complimentary. The lamb and chicken qusi were phenomenal as the meat fell right off the bone. They also make their own flat bread which is great to see. Perhaps some Kurdish music would add to the atmosphere.
The lady host made sure we were catered for which was so lovely. She made this place feel homely.
Awesome experience, you would love the traditional food. And the serving quantity was remarkable. Turkish cava is free, you can have as many times as you like.
I recently dined at Kurdistan Restaurant in Swansea, intrigued by the prospect of trying something new. The restaurant itself is a welcome addition to the local dining scene, offering a glimpse into Kurdish cuisine. While I appreciate their efforts to introduce diverse flavors, I found the food to be just okay and not quite hitting the mark of excellence I was hoping for. Additionally, the prices seemed a bit steep for the quality and portion sizes offered.
That said, it’s worth noting that the restaurant is still in its early days, and there’s always a learning curve with new establishments. On a positive note, the service was good—staff were attentive and friendly, showing promise for the restaurant’s growth and improvement over time.
I’m optimistic about Kurdistan Restaurant’s potential to refine its offerings and become a strong contender in Swansea’s culinary scene. With some adjustments and time to settle in, I believe they could truly make a name for themselves. I look forward to revisiting in the future to see how they’ve evolved.
Not great food to be honest. I am not sure all the reviews are talking about the same place, but I ordered a platter and it rates 0 compare to Lona in Bristol for example. The food and service was below average. Came in and had great complimentary soup, then no drinks and no food for at least 45 minutes. We then received our unimpressive platter of not so nice mix meat. We will not go back there even if it was free. Also not far from our table a pair of old trainers and a bag was just sitting there adding ambiance the atmosphere.
It was a take a way wrap style chicken sheesh, quick and very friendly staff. Delicious food. Something different.

The menu is simple & easy to choose from, not overloaded with dishes.
Ordered Qusi, Sheesh, mix platters on different visit and it never disappointed. Rice, Hummus, bread & soups were delicious. Food quality, quantity & presentation was spot on. Even invited more friends to try and they never disappointed.
Highly recommended. Keep it up guys, fantastic food & service. Will come back with more friends.
Really lovely experience, the waitress was amazing and very polite. The food came quick and with complimentaries to our surprise! A good place to go.
It was our first time this evening, and we were nicely surprised on how delicious the food was! Friendly staff . I must say , this is the best Dolma I ever had and even though normally I don't like Lamb, this one was delicious! We will definitely be coming back as we really enjoyed the food , service and atmosphere whatsoever???? Thank you!!!
