I met a lovely taxi driver not too long ago from Afghanistan and we talked about going down lovely Oxford road to sample Afghan food. I cant unfortunately partake in the food due to slimming world but I’m reliably informed that quabily lamb shank is a sheer delight. The people I have met from Afghanistan are lovely. I feel very lucky that we have Afghan people with us and I am happy I have got to meet some people from Afghanistan. The lovely lady here is from Kabul. I’ve heard a lot about Kabul through different things but I’d love to actually go and see the place for myself but I can’t do that due to a fear of flying. This is a very happy restaurant with lots of laughter. Very nice decor. Nice purple flower mural on the wall. In short definitely recommend.not sure if I spell this right but tasha core.

I have now tasted the chicken and lamb tikka with rice and it was divine. It tasted so good. I loved every mouthful. The chef is so good. Also the staff are very nice and helpful. This place is incredible. Highly recommend
It’s another halal Afghan food in Reading. We had lamb shank qabili pilau, grilled fish and lamb karahi. Food… was okay. Staff were nice but difficult to smile ???? the location is opposite the mosque, so very convenient for Muslims.

Decent food and good service too. Maybe the ambience or the interiors could be improved. The food was fair for the price. Tried the mango lassi which was nice. The afghan tandoori grill had good variety kebabs and was sufficient for two to three people. The rice was kinda bland.
Good dinning experience at this Afghan restaurant. Tasted a variety of foods including mixed grill, grilled fish, chicken burger, biryani chicken & biryani meat.
The portions are large so most of the orders are enough for two. There is plenty of dinning room inside, albeit a little old. The service was acceptable and did not take more than 15 minutes. Food was well cooked. Price was reasonable for the quantity of food you get.
Recommended for family & grilled Halal food.
Good quality, great value food. The portions are far larger than I expected and the lamb is really soft. Definitely somewhere I would recommend and will return to.
Good service and friendly staff. Food on point all the time. Last time I ordered the delivery driver even waited for me outside my house as I was out on way home. Don't see that nowadays. Keep up the good work!
Had a family meal, thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was good with personal attention. Good value for money, freshly cooked meal came out piping hot. Very authentic Afghani food. Highly recommend it to eat in the restaurant.
