Cheap and cheerful Caribbean food.
Nice jerk Chicken and the fries were good. Jerk Chicken burger wasn't a burger, was 5 or 6 quite tough small pieces of chicken.
Service was friendly.
The environment was lovely. Staff polite . Oxtail was great,jerk chicken was superb, and the jerk sauce had the desired kick. Downside - this was the most miserable looking fried plantain I have seen in a long time; otherwise, I would have given you a 5-star rating. Sorry guys, aside this the food was great. No delivery yet. I hope you start that soon and hope the quality doesn't change
Went to Kitchen Six a couple days ago and had the Goat Curry with Rice and Peas. £8, big portion and tasted absolutely banging! Staff were friendly and nice too. Defo recommend!
This is one of the best Jamaican/Caribbean restaurants we have eaten recently. Though small, the decor makes it a nice atmosphere to dine in. The food was tasty and appeared to have been cooked with care - great chef. The customer service was excellent; the young lady who served us was prepared to something across the road that the restaurant didn't have at the moment. For improvement, I suggest that the portion be a bit larger, especially the meat. My wife and I ordered a mix oxtail and curried goat, which was delicious in every way, buy we ended up with very small portions and lots of bones. Nevertheless, I would visit this restaurant in a heartbeat, as I believe the chef would be willing to improve our servings of meat if we should ask in the future. We live over one hour away and can't wait for our next visit. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is thinking of visiting.
Stopped randomly for a takeaway lunch. Jerk chicken was fresh and sauce was extremely good. So happy they had plantain and coleslaw. Husband had the curey goat and rice which he really enjoyed. Good portion sizes. Friendly service. Can't wait to return
Not happy at all, I’ve ordered large goat, curry and rice and peas. Only had three pieces of meat in it and also a little bit of curry juice. Which was ridiculous. The portion was really tiny. I’ve never seen this in my life portion like that. Ended up ordering something else. Very disappointed ????
Had the jerk chicken and curried goat with dumplings. The food was lovely but came on a cold plate so the food went cold quickly. Other than that the flavours were amazing and the host was welcoming and attentive.
It has been a long time coming to have a Caribbean takeaway in Gillingham. And it was totally worth the wait. Had the curry goat with rice and even though I'm not a fan of coleslaw......I'm now converted. Totally homemade and I couldn't stop dribbling with each bite. I will go back there to shake the chef's hand and thank the team for bringing me back home. The aroma, the cooking, it's all so nostalgic and I loved it. Well done Kitchen Six.
