Always been a fan of the Kirkland as I drank here with the old man years ago. Love to see it becoming what it is now, it's an atmosphere welcoming for all, you have the traditional bar side for the old school boozer feel, workers finishing heading for pint after work and all the classic chin wagging you want from a bar. However, you also have the lounge side which has been recently revamped and has the feeling that anyone is welcome, no matter your background, your interests and music choice. If you are a nice person you will fit in. With live music now being put on, great choice of beers, great bar staff, lovely beer garden I honestly can't see why people would complain. It has changed slightly from what it was before but for things to work you must progress and it's ticking all the right boxes, I think you will struggle to find a true local, or someone who frequents pubs regularly, that has a bad word to say about the place. Keep up the great work
Could be a great local but! This isn't it, two bars one could be set up for the jukebox but we sat in other bar and row, whether you appreciated the music or not, was horrendous.
No way could you socialise with others. All you came out with was a headache.
We live local but will not return.

I love it here. I have been on holiday for the last week and have felt very welcome here. A traditional pub hosted by the lovely Delma..The beer is also very good too. A five stars from me.
Well it's a fantastic pub the best local people always a good welcome by everyone. & the Guinness is the best this side of the water ☆☆☆☆☆
Quality bar, down from Scotland visiting family and was made to feel welcome, best pint of Guinness in Narbeth. Can recommend enough.
Only been to Wales 3 times but been to the Kirk 253 times and my Guinness always tastes good, the banter is always great and the bar staff always on point. If it was just around the corner I'd probably be there more often. But alas NZ sheep are far sexier
A proper 'blokes' bar, where the beer is great, conversation flows and the decor is simple.
