I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Ronni May in Medical Centre Reception, and I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the exceptional service I received.
Ronni demonstrated excellent communication skills, providing clear and helpful information. They were attentive to my needs, ensuring that I felt comfortable. As always, her efficiency in managing inquiries was truly impressive.

Pathetic excuse of a surgery.
Receptionist is disgustingly rude, nasty and disrespectful.
The short one is rude and unprofessional, the other one (Edwina from incredibles lookalike) just eggs the other rude one on!
Practice manager Pauline, I highly suggest on your next budget meeting you look in to “people management” training for you staff!
Or ask the nice receptionist if she has any friends that need a job, and sack the other 2!
I think (by all reviews) these women seriously need to be reviewed and or removed from their role.
Ronni, one of the receptionists at Kingsthorpe Medical Practice is excellent. She is professional, supportive, empathetic, efficient and kind. Ronni is an absolute asset to the practice. I believe, quite strongly, that any negative reviews are most certainly not aimed at Ronni. My 5* review is based firmly on the professionalism of Ronni. I had an incident of terrible rudeness, unprofessional behaviour and unempathetical conduct by another receptionist at the surgery. Ronni remained professional throughout and successfully resolved the situation and made what was an incident that made me feel quite unwell with the other receptionist a far more patient focused interaction. I thank Ronni for this and for the positive atmosphere she creates. There is no doubt that it Ronni was the only receptionist then the Google review score would be 5 rather than the current 2.2. The low score is a reflection of the negativity created and bad will generated by one of the other receptionists. It is time for Ronni to be praised and the other to be retrained at a very minimum.

Genuinely the worst physio I have ever been to. I have to go to sessions due to a car crash I had and have been sent through my insurance. All my 30 minute appointments are about 15 minutes. Physio is occasionally late to appointment when I can see nobody is in there before him. You get about 5/10 minutes of massage treatment and the rest is just “how in pain are you now”. Absolute basic physio exercises - as someone with a sports science degree I would be ashamed to prescribe these to people thinking they will genuinely help.
I asked plenty of questions about my injury / treatment throughout my 10 weeks, so far I haven’t really had an answer for any of them. My physio appointment this week I told him I wasn’t in pain anymore so he sent me home - a 30 minute drive, physio 5 minutes late to the appointment and sent me on my way about 2 minutes later.
- this is Northampton Ascenti, if you get sent here I would travel elsewhere as it was genuinely awful and I believe it’s had 0 impact on my injury from being hit by a car.
Would highly not recommend.
Shocking the nurse refuses to let my 81 year old husband see a doctor who has been very ill with a duodenal ulcer, with an absolute refusal to visit him even though he can hardly walk.he is very tired all the time.and the whites inside his eyes lids are white with no color at all its obvious he is very anemic but the nurse still refuses him a visit so hasn't even noticed!!!
I was with this Medical Centre for several years,worst GP in Kingsthorpe area.From receptionist to Doctor and nurse they behave like are God’s there.Stay away from them people!!!!!!
No great receptionist, unhelpful and sometimes rude. You get the feeling they think it would be a a nice place to work apart for those pesky patients.
Some of the nursing staff do a great job however, but one in particular acts uncaring will not listen to you because she thinks she is always right even when proven otherwise. They seem set in there own treatment plan, doesn't mater if you are not able to do what is suggested, you either get ignored or told to try anyway. If you are deemed worthy enough to see a doctor they can seem disinterested and unwilling to interact with you.
Almost impossible to see a doctor. Whilst I agree that staff are not there to be abused and should be treated with respect, I believe they need to remember that it’s a two way street. The regular aggressive manner in which they speak to patients, in person or the phone, is very unnecessary, and it’s worth them remembering that many patients are most likely scared and worried and need some kindness and compassion, instead of being made to feel a nuisance.
