I had a wonderful time at the kings head thanks to Sarah who looked after me really well. Her customer service skills are second to none and she went above and beyond for me. Great room and very comfortable and great drinks aswell. Will definitely go back again.
Stayed at The King’s Head hotel & bar for the allendale challenge 2024, lovely evening meal with variety of gluten free & Veggie options. Quiet rooms, couldn't hear the lively bar below at all! Good value with option breakfast
Brilliant bar and a brilliant local custom! I went along with friends while we went away and happened to bump into a hen do on the night out we were there; and the atmosphere with the DJ, behind the bar staff and the welcoming ascustom of Chris behind the bar was second to none! Beds are better than my own; which I hate. Rooms are well maintained/cleaned and more modern than I though which were pleasent. Planning on heading back at new year as I've seen the village have a great atmosphere with a huge bonfire and will be a brilliant change for the new year.
Lovely friendly staff. The food was lovely all local meat,I had the sausage and mash my wife had the pie of the day (chicken and leak) Also locally made. The beds were comfy and facilities were very clean. The breakfast was good aswell the bacon from the local butcher was to die for it was like eating a gammon stake
Visited the kingshead on a cold March night, we was greeted with a big cosy fire, friendly staff & great food & drink was had by all, a good nights sleep & was great to wake upto a night big breakfast, endless toast, tea & coffee.|We will definitely be returning! Thanks Paul
Great find of a country pub outstanding Sunday lunch in a warm friendly atmosphere.The food was cooked to perfection piping hot and great portions everyone left full and will definitely be back.The landlord and staff couldn’t do more for us and were very friendly and welcoming.
Many thanks to Jim and his staff at the Kings Head. Popped in today with my family after a walk from our remote farmhouse accommodation a few miles away. Despite us being dripping wet with our two dogs we were given a warm welcome by staff and locals and enjoyed a couple of pints of their excellent Guinness as we dried out near the roaring fire.Staff also showed us their B & B rooms available as I intend to come back next year with my fishing mates. Thanks everyone for making our stay in Allendale a special weekend ????????????
