Have to say fish was not up to the usual standard very small.
Chips were wonderful but compared to previous visits I was very disappointed.
As you can see in the 2 photos fish was tiny compared to previous visits
and the end was all batter so I didn't actually get much fish at all for £9.90 I would expect a larger size fish I'm afraid
One of the tastiest fish and chips we've had for a long time. Chips were a lovely mix of crispy and soft. Descent size portion of meaty cod and nice batter. Kids had battered sausage and some nuggets, which were also very tasty. No complaints, would definitely buy again when in the area.
One of the better fish and chips shops on the Norfolk coast. Quick service and great food and decent portions. However I've lost track of the times I've been to the beach, fancied some fish and chips and found them closed at strange times.
First time visiting since the new owner has taken over and the quality is now no different to any other chip shop in Norfolk, the batter recipe has changed and was extremely thin and awful compared to the old style.
A real shame as it used to be the best fish and chips in Norfolk
Excellent fish & chip restaurant. First had take away in early Oct whilst on holiday with friends. Half a Chicken & Chips, Fish & Chips & Pie with Chips all cooked to perfection, best fish & chips we’d all had in a long time. Returned in early November whilst on holiday with elderly mother to have lunch, again everything was perfect & reasonably priced as well. Staff on both visits friendly & courteous. A+

A little bonus was allowing my dog in with me while I waited for my order to be freshly cooked.

Fish & Chip heaven!!! What a fantabulous lunch experience today. To say this is just a Fish Bar does not even begin to explain the truely awesome food that was cooked and eaten today.... Following on from a recommendation from my neighbour last Sunday we decided to have a drive out and have a nice lunch by the sea.. It was a really easy place to find and plenty of parking as well, with there being a car park available or failing that there is limited parking on the road. We arrived at about 1.10pm and I was pleased to see that we wouldn't have to queue as I had been told we might have to due to the popularity and sheer demand had been advised we may have a bit of a wait, but it would be worth it. The Cod, Chips and Mushrooms in Batter were all freshly cooked to order and didn't take long at all, topped off with delicious mushy peas.. What an absolute treat we had eating this and so tasty the Cod was one of the best if not the best I have ever tasted with a crispy light batter and the Chips were cooked to perfection. This was such a perfect day in everyway, but sadly had already started lunch before I took photo's. I would happily recommend a visit and can say that our 2 hour journey was well worth it!!!! I would like to thank both of the ladies who served me today as the service was excellent. I would also like to say that from the moment we arrived you could feel a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere filled with a great community spirit from local people as the go to place to eat and meet up????. Looking forward to coming back again????
Very friendly, accommodating staff despite our arriving close to closing time. Good food - tasty scamp and Haddock. Batter grease-free and chips were delicious! Prices are what youd expect now at a coastal seaside chip shop at c£20 for two adult meals with drinks. Lots of choice on the menu. Dog friendly. Thank you.
