From review I thought that here is the best fish and chips in town. But that is not truth. Very medium quality and taste. Another place was much better.
I'm all for supporting local businesses and I understand things have gone up, but nearly £4 for a large bag of chips that looks like a small and cold is a joke its daylight robbery, curry sauce is that weak, no flavour and also cold, if you want to buy the kids some chips for tea I would think about doing overtime at work to pay for it, won't be returning as its not the first time. Staff are nice and polite.

Got there 10mins before closing and was told whatever i want they will cook it fresh. Only had pie and chips but it was fantastic ????. Definitely visiting again when I'm working in the area. It's even worth the journey from where I live in Cardiff. Great value as well.
Been coming to Kempleys Catch for years, ALWAYS a friendly service always great food. Only chippy in town in my eyes. Highly Recommend.
What a great fish & chip shop! Really freshly done lightly battered fish & lovely chips. Very nice staff & eat in for takeaway price. Can’t praise this place highly enough! I hope that the residents of Oakhampton know how lucky they are! I’m not local to the area but visit regularly, & when back again will definitely visit as my fish & chips where the best I’ve had for ages.
Please avoid. The worst fish and chips I've had in 25 years. Go to Graylings instead if you're looking for a chippy in Okehampton.
I visited this takeaway for the first time today and I won't be coming back. I ordered x2 haddocks and a large chips for my wife and I to share and it was incredibly disappointing.
I was handed 3 hot packages without a bag, nor was I offered one. A bad start, but there was worse to come.
The chips were very oily and had an unpleasant earthy taste to them. The fish batter was all stuck to the paper so clearly wasn't cooked with hot enough oil. The flesh of the fish was incredibly dry and bland that even our cat turned her nose up at the haddock. Assuming of course I was actually given haddock. All this for the princely sum of £21.
It's not often that I leave a review but this terrible experience warrants one.
It's great, great prices and great customer service not to mention the chips are to die for ☺️ definitely recommend !
