Best KPortal Reviews
Lovely little cafe serving hearty homemade food, perfect for hungry walkers or passers by. We were a bit cold and soggy and really appreciated the roaring fire to warm up and dry off. Very reasonable prices, friendly service and they even have a card machine and wifi which is very handy too.
The Owners were superb, so welcoming and friendly.
Service, Food, Warm Fire and toilet. What more could any weary traveller require.
Such a lovely cafe run by two super helpful and nice people. So good i went twice! Tasty fish finger butty in tiger bread too!
We visited here for breakfast before the long walk to the Tan Hill Inn. Absolutely fantastic food and coffee with a roaring fire whilst the wind and rain did it's thing outside. The owners were great company and very hospitable. Clean, dog friendly establishment and incredibly welcoming and comfortable. We can't wait to return!
PS: The Tan Hill Inn's food is good too but the food here is actually better in our opinion and much better priced, we recommend a nice big breaky here to keep you right and save you money.
Thanks for having us!
I highly, highly recommend.
I was walking from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in summer 2022. I think Keld counts as about halfway (and also halfway on the coast to coast). Each day, I’d normally stop walking mid-morning for a tea in a cafe. One morning I decided against it since it’d be a 2 mile detour out to Muker and I pushed onto Kirkby Stephens. But then I stumbled on this place! (before it was on Google Maps). It was one of the best surprises of my trip.
Lovely people, I had a great cup of tea and a really nice scone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quaint little cafe, lovely and friendly couple who run it. I will be back soon.
Great little cafe to stop by on your walks or if you’re in the area, lovely food and very welcoming friendly owners. Enjoyed trying some of the Yorkshire Brack, very nice ????
Certainly returning again when back in the area.
Holly Molly! The food is outstandingly delicious. I’ve had breakfast there twice and cannot say enough about it. The sausage on the breakfast menu is astonishing.
