Bought chicken and steak pies direct from the bakery shop in Long Marton for a quick lunch. Light pastry with generous filling in lovely gravy. Well worth the money!
Caramel shortbread - sooooooooooooo disappointing!! Really THICK shortbread base just a tray of crumbs, caramel layer so thin you can only just see it and cheap sickly chocolate topping. Overall - very upset and total waste of money! My daughter bought me a whole tray of it and sadly going in the bin. My advise - try before you buy!!!!!!!
Visited Appleby on a statesman rail tour and came across a beautiful stall abundant with delicious pastries and sweet treats. The pastries were so yummy and filled to the brim with meat and vegetables! The cakes were so beautiful we wished we grabbed more! Absolutely recommend to anyone!
Purchased pies, pasties and sausage rolls near the end of our Ramblers walk. All are very nice.

Incredibly good value! £2 for a fresh pie! Friendly and helpful staff too! Just ask for what you want and they probably have it.
Can't fault the pies in any way. Very Tasty with pastry that melts in your mouth. Looking forward to trying the cakes. Strongly recommended.
Chocolate crunch- just not great. Wasn't bound together, was just like saw dust. Bitter coccoa powder mixed with coconut topped with chocolate.
Peppermint crunch- gritty and gloopy.
bought several items off stall at Silloth market but the following morning cheese scone was mouldy.phoned bakery who said it was down to stock rotation
