We ordered 2 hot and sour soup and a beef and chicken chow mein over the phone and were told it was an hour wait. The food overall was nice but we waited a lot longer than stated much closer to 2 hours which is unacceptable when the staff were still taking orders which were backing up. Won't be going back to waste my evening waiting.
This was the best takeaway I’ve ever had. The quality of the sweet chilli sauce was beautiful and the sweet and sour king prawn balls were home made. Perfect food. This was really restaurant quality and far nicer than takeaway food.a restaurant in Newcastle called China express is similar to your food.
Most takeaway quality is not as good.
The wait for this food was not good, my brother and dad waited nearly an hour.
I'm not a massive fan of Chinese cuisine but when the mood strikes KL express hits the spot. I wouldn't even go anywhere else and Kim I'd very friendly
We were on holiday and tried kl Thoroughly enjoyed food, we had the special curry x2 fried rice, chips and prawn crackers. Everything we had was divine and certainly plenty of meat, which is unusual to get such a variety. We have eaten at various takeaways similar to K L however, i have to say you cannot beat KL absolutely perfect and the spicy chips were delicious. Defo would recommend to others and advice not to take any notice of poor reviews, I will defo be going back if in the area again.
What a lovely atmosphere with friendly service. the food was absolutely beautiful!! recommend the mixed satay and chicken chow mein the nicest Chinese meals myself and my partner have had A++
Tried for over 30mins on the phone, turned up and place was dead
None of the staff seemed bothered
Ordered crispy duck, pancakes hadn't even been heated up and the sauce was all coagulated and mainly oil
Really disappointing for the cost, it used to be beautiful here :(
Went on the Wednesday before jubilee bank holiday weekend, no rice and closing at 9pm..... first Chinese I've ever known close that early, but I've never known one run out of their staple rice before either.
Did still have the shredded beef with noodles which was nice, and curry with chips which they said tasted good but we both agree would have been better with special fried rice ????
Sweet and sour chicken balls - chicken was over cooked and chewy, sweet and sour sauce tasted burned somehow ???? Porton sizes were small. Fried rice was extremely greasy and had an odd aftertaste. Prawn crackers were soft. The few chips that we hadn't ordered but were in with the chicken balls tasted OK. It was edible but only just.
