Monstrosity. Horrible. Waited 3 HOURS phoned half way through was told it had just left the shop 50 minutes later it appeared. It come CLEARLY reheated stale and quite frankly scary. Wouldn’t wish this chippy on my worst enemy and I’ve wished horrible things on them. Keep your money they don’t deserve it I am disgusted. Lady on the phone sounded cheery? Clearly she’s not starving to death.
Been waiting 3 hours for my order, I even called an hour about to ask what was going on, to then be told it’s just left the shop still an hour later I am waiting for my food, the shop is now closed, as far as I can tell this happens far to often, don’t waste your time ordering from here if your hungry
Update food came shortly after I put this review and to be honest I wish it didn’t come I would of rather of still been hungry food was rough and horrid I’d genuinely rather if starved to death
The food was cold my order was so small a kid side size and the boy on the phone swearing like he'll I have a good mind to take the food to him and make him eat it
Absolute shambles. Ordered at 6:11pm this evening and I am still waiting on a relatively small order, an hour and 40 minutes later! Absolutely starving, reading the reviews I even be bothered calling to complain to get even more angry.
The only downside was the don't take card payments. The portion size are big, and food tasted great.
Entered shop, 4 staff behind counter and 1 other customer already been served. My partner stood at the counter and I sat by the window. My partner stood for over 5 mins and not 1 member of staff spoke to him either to take an order or explain why they hadn't (waiting on chips cooking etc.. Left and went to Pauls where the staff were helpful and pleasant
This chippy is very good, well priced and good quality of food.
The chips on the other hand are bad (not normally, so could be a seasonal thing) they are small, loads and loads of small sharp ones, very bad for the throat, leaves little scratches.
I dont know what they do with there chips but they taste funny sometimes. The owner or manager is very rude and looks down at you and is very very rude to his staff. The way he speaks to them is outrageous. Good value for money but lately the manager has told them to cut sizes down which on somethings is ridiculous only 3 slices of donnar meat in donnar meat and chips. Icelandic fish is good value for money but has been frozen. Fritters are huge and you get loads.
