Nice little place to go, especially with little ones as they have a play area. The food was fine. Cakes looked lovely, although we didn't try them.
The place itself is lovely, decor wise. Prices high for what they are serving, had a cheese & ham panini and it come with plastic cheese in. We had a group booking of 12 people which we pre ordered for. They still managed to get it wrong. Generally the food was ok, nothing special.
Also payed a deposit which you got taken off your food, but unfortunately was overcharged by a few £££. Really wanted to like the place, but it’s so hard to when they mess up the order that’s pre ordered by us & we was the only ones there.
Pros- they was nice enough to stay open extra so we could have a get together for my daughters birthday.
Held my event here. Fantastic atmosphere, very helpful staffs, delicious food. Especially Karen and Stephen made a special effort to make my event run very smoothly. I would recommend this place not only as a event venue but also as a very nice place to grab some delicious food.
Many vegan options including loaded fries and even a vegan waffle cone ice-cream. Foods great, service is fantastic and the kids love it too. Highly recommended!
Nice staff, friendly atmosphere but was a little haphazard. Food was a little cold and overcooked. Wasn't bad but didn't seem to be much more than reheated probably defrosted..
I think what was most disappointing was how much they charged for the food. Food has to live up to its price tag. I would be inclined to rate it higher if it didn't have to justify its price tag so much. Take for instance the signature dawg, this is a sub £10 dish that cost £14 yet frozen fries slightly cold and basic processed Frankfurt, in what I suspect was tinned chilli. Sauce was basically a mixing of off the self sauces. All understandable in achieving a sub £10 dish, but not a £14 dish. Portion sizes didn't make up for it either, quite small.
Then instead of using ceramic plates or bowls capable of absorbing heat under a lamp and keeping food warm they survived food a glossed baking dishs. These things dissipate heat quickly meaning you're serving cold food by the time it reaches the table.
Finally it wasn't obvious when you walk in if you can order at the table like a dinner or at the bar like well a bar. That was the other thing, when charging over £12 a plate dishes it's customary to provide table service. It's fine for sub £10 dishes to offer orders at the bar style service. Also confusingly the place claims to be a dinner, American dinners have very table service.
Basically the place lacks a professionalism and understanding of catering business, lacking also a appreciation of cost to food quality ratio.
Gives the impression of confusion by its ill mixed approaches.
Once again the staff seemed friendly which is a saving grace.
Really lovely little Cafe. Beautifully decorated and very family friendly with a good kids menu and a play area. Very friendly and welcoming staff and delicious food. Highly recommend!!
this is ridiculous to pay £5.50 for 4 TINY hard churros! Have never seen a portion like this before! I do not recommend. P.S. to understand the picture better- the plate is very small, so could imagine the size of the portion!
Just had coffee & a cake so can't really judge to full extent. Marked down atmos because there where noisy kids in there!
