Absolutely delicious sushi, so much to choose from on the menu. Highly recommend. My favourite place to get sushi in Exeter!
Absolutely fabulous sushi, and very cheap! Soft shell crab, tempura prawn rolls, temaki, all the good things. Will definitely go again!
I had a Chinese spicy hotpot and a stir fried beans today at the restaurant. Overall it was a normal experience but the cashier was completely rude when I was about to pay. The cashier has demanded me to pay the discretionary service charge if I needed to pay in card. As this is not complimentary, I decided not to pay but she will tell me to pay by cash in order to have the “free discretionary service charge”. Unfortunately I did not bring any cash therefore I will needed to go to the nearest ATM I can find to pay my my bills. At first, the cashier told me that her colleague will be following me but later on she told me to left my documents in order to let me to go out to take cash. I felt scared at that time but only I can do without make any more troubles. I googled and check the regulations that. IT IS NOT MANDATORY to pay a discretionary charge but the cashier kept explaining that the card company will charge them money and making up lots of excuses. I left my details behind just to take money but also I am afraid that they might be taking my personal information for further use. Also, I have been trying to cope with the situation but really the woman cashier made an impression to me that she is trying to threaten me or making me to feel frightened that I could not pay my bills.
I said couple of times and repeat myself that I will be paying the bill but what she have force me to pay the discretionary fee if I have to pay it by card is totally unacceptable.
My bill was £51.1 in cash and £56.XX if I pay card.
I gave them £60 but just £7.9 in change which wasn’t the full amount of change. It was a terrible experience from the payment.
I recommend asking more detail in advance in order to protect consumer rights before dining in this restaurant.
I am just a 21 young adult who just in Exeter but I felt I am misled and bullied while in the payment situation.
We’ve eaten in twice since opening and have been more than happy both times. The quality of the food and the skill of the chef are excellent. The first time I had lamb with cumin seeds and it was absolutely fantastic. The meat was cooked perfectly. The second time I had beef with black bean and again it was delicious. The menu has a lot of choice, with both Chinese and Japanese food. There are adventurous dishes like intestines and jellyfish, but also the usual stuff like sweet and sour chicken etc. so there is something for everyone.
Dietary requirements were catered for and the staff are very friendly.
Wheelchair access was fine, there is a permanent ramp at the door, and plenty of space inside to move around, however the toilet is down stairs.
Lots of choice on the menu and at a good price. The food was delicious. Great service and a lovely relaxing atmosphere inside.
The food tasted okay but it was mostly the service that did not make the experience as enjoyable. Me and a few students visited and a few of us had allergies, we couldn't have chicken as we were sharing the food and they confirmed that what we ordered was completely chicken free. However 30 minutes later, my friend had an allergic reaction and began struggling to breathe. We add to inject her with an epi pen once we left and they still charged us service charge
Went here because I saw the reviews and was curious. It was exactly as the community pages say: workers here are rude and the food is not the best, nor the worst. It is sad that the attitude of workers here are not as good as I expected. The food is a hit or miss, the tempura tasted like mouthful of oil and the sushi pieces tasted metallic. However the spring rolls were alright. I don’t think I will come back here and I do not think I will be recommending this restaurant to people.
Very friendly environment, food was aa good as expected and I loved every part of the service I got.
