The food when you get it is good, and since they change there susages it's been even better..
But since the nice lady who was up front has gone (had a baby) the service tho normally quick is poor there bearly anything there. What makes for a cold atmosphere.
Since they make you wait everything your in there cuz they do cook as fresh as possible what is great , there waiting area is utter poor you really need some good chairs or benches or something just worth while for everyone because of the wait ...
What can I say, beautiful fresh COD in a light crisp batter and chips all cooked to perfection. Friendly staff, very chatty and welcoming. Jimmy's is definitely worth a visit.
Placed large order for Good Friday. Order was bagged up quickly when I arrived and staff were very friendly. Batter was nice and crispy and so were chips. Can definitely recommend and will go there again. NHS discount greatly appreciated.
We have just finished our fish and chip supper and it was the best ever. Crisp batter to the end, fresh white fish and non greasy chips. Excellent value and very polite, chatty and friendly server. Thanks we will be back.
I would have to say that the person serving was nice wait time given, delivery was not as stated a large fish, battered burger and chips took forever - on arriving home the fish was flat and more batter than fish and in addition did not look like cod. Menu says cod but this looked very much like the cheap alternative pollack. The burger was cheap meat and tasted horrible

Such a lovely place to go for food! Every time I have been, everyone has been really friendly and the food is such good quality too - a bit of a wait usually but that’s because it’s fresh and not over held in the hot cupboard. Only place I go to for a chippy now!
The best Pie & Chips we've ever had. Chips were cooked to perfection and the pie was very tasty. The serving lady very friendly and everything done with a smile. The best "Chippie" in town, won't be going anywhere else now we've discovered Jimmy's. Thank you Jimmy.
