Very rude female member of staff! I have 20+ years of experience working in pharmacies, and I don't know how this person is employed. First, she made a derogatory remark about the Pharmacist saying he was lazy. He actually agreed with her saying that he 'couldn't be bothered'.
When I asked for what I wanted, she loudly asked, "What ya using them for?' She behaved like I was ordering a pint of lager!
This is NOT how you treat a customer in a pharmacy, nor is it one of the questions you ask. There is a set guideline for asking questions respectfully to a customer. Which is the following WWHAM.
Who is it for?
What are the symptoms?
How long have you had the symptoms?
Action taken?
Are you taking any other medications?
NEVER do you ask like a customer in a slobby manor 'what ya taking it for?'
She asked me no other questions. So I told her what I needed them for and told her that never have I heard any of my colleagues ask that question, it's not part of WWHAM.
As I am walking out, she then becomes more unprofessional by asking 'why didn't ya buy them from ya own pharmacy?'
That's how she spoke by the way, I don't abbreviate when I write.
Absolutely none of her business! Also I was on my day off!
Jhoot's has made a once lovely pharmacy look scruffy and unkempt. It looks like a back street pharmacy from a 3rd world country.
Every single person entering a pharmacy should be treated with respect and privacy (as much as you can deliver). People are in there to get help and advice. You should ask these questions respectfully and at no point cause embarrassment to your customers.
She is lucky nobody else was in there because it would have been embarrassing. I don't think she would have cared if the pharmacy was full. I can tell from experience that this is how she behaves naturally. I am appalled by both her and the pharmacists' behaviour and attitude.
If you need over the counter medications, please go literally anywhere else. Where you won't be shouted at by someone best suited to a market stall or perhaps a town cryer. Go somewhere where you get treated with the respect, dignity, privacy you deserve. She desperately needs training on medical confidentiality. I dread to think how deals with scripts. The whole shop will know what medications you are on with the mouth on that woman.
Zero professionalisation.
AVOID and go anywhere else.
Our experience is of consistently proficient, considerate and caring staff who communicate well.
Staff are overworked and offer very little in terms of help. Waiting for a prescription can take well over 30 mins with a small handful in front The store just opens and closes whenever it wants, the staff just stick a sign up on the shutters to say it'll be back open tomorrow due to unforeseen circumstances. The place needs better organisation. People rely on medication, if the pharmacy states it'll be open till 11pm then it should be open till 11pm, I got here at 6pm.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Impeccable service. Thank you :)
Only allowing 2 customers in on a Sunday afternoon, when you are the only pharmacy open in Middlesbrough is absolutely disgusting. A prescription had been sent over after visiting a local out of hours service, to then be made to wait outside with an ill child for nearly 10 minutes is abhorrent and immoral. As part of our health care service, you should be trying harder to offer a better service of care to patrons/patients.
Well stocked store, bright and plenty of room. Staff can moody and miserable. Not what you want when yoz feel like xxxx. Pharmacists here seem over whelmed with work probably best avoiding this store and go to an independent. They make you wait outside in cold... for older customers not good waiting outside in cold for 30 minutes.
Talked to a lovely man this morning told him to expect a prescription of my doctors when it arrived he delt with it within 5mins much appreciated for your help,10/10 for Lloyd's.
Incorrect opening times on the website. Arrived to pick up an order to find them closed with their new opening times stuck on the door. Not helpful when the website stated they were open. I could see people working inside so I tried to ring the store. After ignoring the calls, they clearly took the phone off the line as I was then getting user busy tone. Poor customer service. Won’t be using them again.
