Best KPortal Reviews
Very knowledgeable, patient and kind pharmacists. I have been to them many times with various concerns and received great advice and clear explanations. So tolerant, understanding and reassuring.
Like many pharmacy's these days, they sometimes struggle with supply of medication due to nationwide issues which arose from Brexit. Frustrating all round, but out of their hands.
I'm grateful for their support.
Not fit for purpose. I switched to using a postal service. I have only used J Hoots 6 times for urgent medication. No order has been anything unusual. They never have anything in stock. Yesterday , they didn't even offer to order it because they know they take too long. I once gave them a prescription, as they said it would take a few days. It didn't, I had to buy a private prescription via an online chemist and pay for it instead. About 6 months later, they phoned and said it was in-stock and ready for me. I obviously I no longer needed it and didn't pick it up. I hope they didn't pocket NHS money for providing it. As I can't walk further, friends have had to get medicine from other places for me when it has been urgent.
Bad. I am a disabled person aged 62. On strong painkillers for smouldering myelitis. I put in for a prescription and they only had a portion of it. ONE MONTH LATER they still do not have it in stock. "they dont have it at the warehouse" yet other pharmacists get my medication. A pain (literally) as I live close to J Hoots and getting to different pharmacist is difficult. Staff member talks with stone cold indifference. Go somewhere else people.
My experience is they have always been very helpful, knowledgeable and prompt. They are lovely people dealing with a high volume of work/items out of stock. They were taken over a year or two ago so some of the negative reviews won't apply now
the worst experience. I went to seek advice for a skin problem, and the treatment from the staff was very rude. Don't go if you need any recommendations, they will treat you terribly.
Can't dispute anyone else's experience but I seem to remember they had to deal with the change over from Lloyd's during Covid restrictions, they do serve a busy area n are attached to a busy doctor's surgery. I've been hugely stressed by electronic prescriptions not being dealt with properly by my gp occasionally.
I have always found everyone who works here to be polite, professional and obviously working as hard as they can to look after their customers who after all are mostly not well, sometimes very stressed, and need their medication to be right and ready. That can't always be immediately. It's a big responsibility and sometimes you might have to wait longer than you'd like to for you, the people before you and all the other precise work they have to do to actually be precise. I live locally and I've waited longer in various other well known chemists.
Unbelievably disorganised. Usually a 15/20 minute wait just to get into the building.
I was told my prescription had not arrived and it fell to me to get to the bottom of it by contacting my doctor and the GP surgery. After contacting them again I almost had to persuade the person on phone that they did have a prescription request, after some time being on hold I was sheepishly told that they would order the medication without any recognition that they had been at fault.
This isn't an isolated incident, I have had similar interactions over the last year.
It must be really difficult for the staff there. I've spoken to some very helpful and well meaning people there, special mention to the northern Irish women, but the way that place is organised is chaotic and it makes picking up a prescription way harder than it ought to be.
Never have my precribed drugs available let alone just normal pain killers etc... The hours they are open/closed for lunch are ridiculous as well. Says alot that the actual pharmacy closes for LUNCH. I will say that the staff are nice and i feel are being put under undue pressure. Respect them if they're nice/decent please, it's rarely their fault.
