We've had x2 take aways from here over the years. Reasoning was because it was convenient as we were in Colwyn Bay at the time. The first time the food was OK, wrong sauce put on the top, good job we liked it, otherwise it would of all gone in the bin. Second time one of the food items was a spring roll. It tasted really weird. Like a stale taste? One bite and It went straight in the bin. The next day my partner had a bad stomach after eating the sausage dinner. We won't order from here ever again.
I really can't understand how it has 4.4 stars, the food is awful! Sorry for sounding negative but it's an honest review.
Fantastic food. Great service. Lovely, helpful people. Both the fish and chips and Chinese were delicious. Just take cash as its cash only. But very worth it.
I placed an order this evening and I find myself very disappointed. I ordered salt and pepper squid which was very fishy and you could tell it wasn’t fresh at all. We ordered 1/4 duck which was dry and wasn’t crispy and the housin sauce was cold. The only good thing I can say about my order was the special fried rice, however there was a hair in it.
I’ve walked past here many times and not really noticed it but today i was super hungry and was passing, the fish n chips were spot on! Really lovely lady serving, so friendly. I will make sure i re-visit and try a chinese dish next time. Thanks for a lovely lunch????
Nice chips. Fish was nice, chunky batter. Pies are Holland's pies. Gravy was delightful interesting. It's got a five spice hint or something to it but we couldn't stop dipping our chips in it! Deep umami flavour with curious seasonings. Nice!
Ordered Salt and Pepper chips and they were gorgeous. Very peppery (black pepper) which is not what S&P chips are normally like but thankfully I love black pepper. The curry sauce was nice albeit a bit slimy ???? No marks deducted though ???? because overall it was a great meal. Shame they don't accept card payments which I find a lot of Chinese takeaways don't for some reason so it meant having to find a cash machine
Always friendly. Young Chow fried rice with Kin Do ribs - a marriage in heaven!!
Cash only. Brilliant service. We called ahead to enquire about our dietary requirements, they kindly let us know they'd be happy to cook the chips in a separate fryer. Not only was this fab, but the chips were the best chips I've had from a chippy, ever. They were light and fluffy on the inside, yet had a crispy exterior. Would recommend.
