I’ve heard quite a bit about Jack Thai ; even from Mama in ThaiHouse Cafe, who recommends it.
So all the way in Sunderland, in the hunt for good Thai food. Sunderland evidently has its gems ????
We were in time for the Lunch set menu - which I would say makes the meal real worth it. Lovely ambience, reminding me of ChaoPhraya (also in terms of price).
We had a nice lunch - sadly, no Thai Milk teas are served ????

We had a party of 6 last night, very happy with everything from start to finish. The selection on the menu was great, we wanted to order everything! It was very tasty, service was great, lovely and friendly staff, restaurant is nice and clean, parking is easy as right next to The Bridges. Highly recommended, thank you again and I'll definitely come back.
Came here for colleagues 40th Birthday. Unbelievable food, starter was Tom yam soup, full of flavour and good portions. My colleagues got fish cakes and teriyaki chicken skewers and I was jealous of everyone else's food as I wanted to try it all ????
I got crying tiger steak for my main with sticky rice which was also delicious.
Could do with some non alcoholic beers in their fridge as I had to settle for alcoholic instead but I didn't complain too much ????

Been here for the first time today and what an absolutely beautiful little gem it is.
We had the lunch time special which was 2 courses for £20 which ran till 5pm. Food was top drawer, portions were incredible.
Highly recommend and will most definitely be going back.
The Salt & Chilli Calamari is one of the greatest starters I have ever had - simply phenomenal!
I had the Green Curry for Mains, which was also excellent, but that Calamari - Wowsers!
We've been yesterday on late dinner in 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids). All dishes came together as we asked. Everything delicious! We took Mermaid & Co, Pork on Porka and Bangkok Duck. Everything looked so good, very tasty and good size portions! Very recommended ???? we will back. Prices are very good too.
Superb food. Good service. A very warm welcome. Couldn’t finish the food we ordered so good portions. Got it boxed to bring home. Not too long waiting to get our order taken. Not too long wait for food. Nice comfortable atmosphere wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant 5 stars
This new Thai Restaurant “Jack Thai” A quaint restaurant but great atmosphere is served the best and authentic thai cuisine in Sunderland..We throughly enjoyed our meal..Staff was friendly . Amazing food exceptional service .. plus the head chef is handsome.
