Heavenly pies! Yesterday I had a Mac and cheese pie and sausage bean and cheese pie, hubby had a bridie and a mince pie. We sat in the car and ate them outside the shop, absolutely delicious. Anyone passing the car would have wondered what was happening hearing all the groans of delight!
Back again today, a mince pie each plus a steak pie for hubby and a chicken curry for me, again all pies a triumph!
This time, I stopped eating long enough to take some pictures! Haven't even tried the other delights in the shop, the cakes look fabulous though. I think we might have to go back again tomorrow!!
Best pies in the world! I had a pie from Carnoustie after trying this and I was immediately sick. Carnoustie pies have nothing on these beautiful Portsoy pies. ????????????????????????????????
Its lucky we dont live in Portsoy cos I'd be the size of a house if we did. I cant walk past a decent bakers without trying some cakes and we made no exception here. Day 1 we bought 7 cakes.....whoops we ate them all! Day 2 just got 6 and they were gone by the end of the day too. We even thought about doubling back 30miles for some more on day 3! Yummy
The few occasions I have been here I have been thoroughly impressed by the product range and quality of their goods, no complaints there. Sadly on each visit the member of staff I have dealt with did not seem to want to listen to my requests and had a generally off hand attitude towards them making me and my wife feel uncomfortable to be there. I might point out that my son, who appears to have been helped by a younger member of staff on the one visit he made received a much more welcoming experience. Stars are for the merchandise!
I have loved this Baker ever since I was a child. I remember the bakers van coming to the caravan site in Sandend. They have the best rowies ever , in my opinion. I just wish I could get up there more than I do. Also fantastic fruit loaf(black bun as I know it ). 10 stars!
Mouthwatering cakes and friendliest service from a bakers we have never visited before. I had Terrys chocolate orange cupcake which was so light and melted in the mouth as was the banana cream slice .... yum yum. Definitely worth a visit if your in Portsoy.
Fantastic village bakers set in the village of Portsoy, stayed hear while travelling for work, bakers across the road from where I was staying, can highly recommend their Mince Pies....good range of both hot & cold foods, will visit again if back in the area ????
Best pies and pasties in the area, with the best matchbox cakes I’ve ever had in my life.
