Was good to a certain extent.
I got a quote back in the summer of 2023 for a timing chain replacement. The quote was a fair price and the work could be done the following week. I dropped the car off and 2 days later, the job was complete. The communication was good throughout the process. However, 1 month later I discover I have an oil leak. My uncle (who’s a mechanic) takes a look and sees that the crankshaft seal is leaking. I contacted Max and told him the issue of which he denied reliability for and quoted me for repairs. I then asked him why the seal replacement wasn’t offered at the time of the repair to which I had no response. My car then failed its MOT due to this issue, and another garage identified that there was a problem with the seal and was due to something that had happened during the timing chain replacement. I then contacted Max again to get the oil leak replaced urgently and got no response. So I got the oil leak fixed else where and they two said it was due to an issue that incurred during the timing chain replacement. So overall was good at first but there was a lack of communication and after sale care.

Avoid this company, unfortunately add extras onto bill despite not being agreed previously before work is carried out.
Even when work is completed it is to a poor standard and causes more work needed to be done.

Extremely helpful when my car was broken down. Very accommodating, allowed me to have my car dropped off and held overnight until they could fix it the next morning. Staff are very kind and polite. Decent prices. Really glad I used this garage.
