Took my car in because of a simple scrape against a wall which took some paint off the front passenger side corner bumper, trim and wing. Was quoted £500 plus VAT and told it would take 2 days. When I went to collect my car the day after those 2 days the quality of the job was appalling. There was a run in the paint, there was overspray of the white paint on the black trim and part of the respray paint was missing where the masking tape had been peeled off and took a bit of the paint with it. I pointed out all these faults to the guy in charge, I asked him if the apprentice had done my car, he didn't know who had done it, I asked him if he'd let a car leave the workshop in that state, he said no. So I had to leave my car with them to fix the faults even though I needed it to drive to London the next day. I had to make other arrangements to get to London and came back for my car 5 days later. The run had been fixed, overspray still visable and the bit where the paint was missing could still be found and just looked like it had been touched up with a touch up pen. I told them I still wasn't happy and all I got was an apology. They expected me to leave the car with them again to strip the parts from the car and do it properly which would cost me more money. I didn't want to trust them with my car again. I wanted to renegotiate the price which they refused, they did let me off with the VAT which to me is normal practice for paying in cash, which I was offering, so no compensation for my wasted time, my extra fuel travelling to and from them or the inconvenience of having to arrange another car to get to London. Terrible service, very poor quality of work, I will never use these cowboys again.
