They have friendly staff. I am amazed by the size of their loaf and creativity for their sweet stuff. A nice homely kind of bakery in a neighborhood. I like their doughnuts. ????
Today was my first time here as I often go to Watney market for fruit I discovered this bakery. Percy Ingle is a fifth generation family business and still make almost all of their products using traditional recipes and baking methods. Bread was decent and friend said the cheese sticks were alright. price is relatively cheap for London but is still a bit high considering quality.
Staff generally nice. Small staff member with glasses and long hair pulled back is so rude it's unbelievable! She is by far the most miserable person I've met! If you don't have customer service skills you're in the wrong job.
Tall Lady in there of black origin is amazing! She's so helpful, always smiling. Think she needs a promotion.
The staff with glasses and blonde ponytail was very rude. I asked for the vegan pastry, she showed me but with a very bad attitude to reply me when I wanted to double check that if it was the vegan one or not. Can’t believe why you want to be rude to someone who come to the shop to spend money lol maybe she just had a bad day or like the previous review said they’re not friendly and very cold to Asian customer. The food was good, but definitely won’t go there again, don’t even feel welcomed at all!
The counter staff were polite and cheerful interacting with the customers in front of us, but became very noticeably cold and hostile when serving any Asian customers in line. Their demeanour immediately changed when speaking to white customers.
Extremely uncomfortable and upsetting experience. Just go to a supermarket bakery (or anywhere else) if you don’t want to be treated like garbage.
I only tried the cheese, potato, and onion pastry (which was recommended) and it was absolutely delicious. It cost around £1.20 which I thought wasn't too bad considering the size and the buttery, flaky, soft, and HOT delicious filling which made it definitely worth it. Mind you, if you're more on the healthy side, this may not be for you because it definitely was loaded with butter (oil stains seeping through the bag hah!). I'll certainly be back to try their sausage roll and other items!
Also, I want to commend the absolutely lovely staff here who took the time to chat with me. Really friendly and nice!
If I could I wouldn't even rate this franchise 1 star. The customer service of this franchise is atrocious. Me and my sister asked for two cheese and onion pasties. The woman responded to us in a very rude manner and charged us for three pasties.
Our server claimed she asked us three times whether we would like three pasties or not, I can say that her claim is false as she did not engage in any conversation with me or my sister and most certainly did not ask us if we wanted three.
When we tried to get our money back she was reluctant and refused to do so.
I can't believe I have received such disgraceful customer service today. My sister and I are regular customers and have never been treated like this before.
I am appalled by the lack of customer service. I most certainly do not recommend you go to this franchise .
Amazing place with good atmosphere, with very amazing and always very helpful staff. Cheers to Adina and Anna for being so friendly everytime I go there. It's people like you girls that make businesses like these strive.
