Best KPortal Reviews

Pathetic. Ordered chicken tikka and naan.
Naan was decent but chicken tikka was the worse I have eaten. Chicken was hard and uncooked and gravy is sweet.
Would recommend eating here, food was amazing. Starter were nice and tasty, main meal portions were big too. Didn’t have room for desert after. Go and experience this place when in Coventry. Wicked atmosphere, can bring you own drinks too, as small selection of draught beer.
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Ordered a coke, saw the waiter pour Diet Pepsi when he got it to the table, he told me it’s normal coke, either I forgot what coke tastes like or he lied. To add further insult to injury he never gave ice, so room temperature Diet Pepsi great job ????????
Food was good though, above average for a buffet at half the price can’t complain. Need to go for the A La Carte, because the chef is really good.
A shame really because when management came back to the front they really pulled it off. I just can’t believe the first waiter lied to me, that’s just disgusting.
Let me down big time Google Reviews. This was a very disappointing experience. Ordered onion bahji which were nicely presented, but curiously they managed to get the outside not very crispy while making sure the inside was very dry. Then a lamb curry, which was 90% sauce and 10% lamb. Really. It didn't even taste good and now I am concerned about getting some dehli-belly. But worst was the location - right next to a cheap hotel. There were very loud and dodgy people outside the hotel next to the restaurant entrance boozing on, and a very large shirtless guy who was a little bit menacing. While I was eating an ambulance pulled up to take someone from the hotel away - presumably a drug or violence related incident. Overall, a very scary and disappointing evening.
Me and hubby first ate at this lovely restaurant a couple of weeks ago the whole experience was fantastic...all the staff were really nice and nothing was too much trouble for them...the service was good and the food was great!... we really enjoyed our evening...tonight we ordered food to take away and it was delicious!... we have finally found a lovely Indian restaurant to eat in, or take out!
I would 100% recommend this place to anyone!
We visited this place as a family to celebrate a birthday and we all travelled from Manchester, Leicester and London. With this in mind the manager told us to pre order our food as "we are very busy that night". We agreed and happily pre ordered our food with the thought that the children would be able to eat at a reasonable time. On arrival we walked in at 8pm on a Saturday evening to an empty restaurant, I guess this was our first clue. No one came to take any orders for drinks, we had to get up and go to the bar to order and they had no diet drinks, no soda water, no sparkling water, in face they only had coke or lemonade from the bottle at £2 per glass. The children wanted to order some extra starters and again we had to go to the bar to order this i.e. no table service!! When ordering the extra food they had no lamb and no daal!!
Our starters arrived at 9.00 an hour after we sat and requested to bring them out. The starters were Luke warm at best and oiley, the paneer was undercooked and tasteless and the chicken overcooked. The food that came out included food that we had not ordered and food that we did order did not arrive. This was also the case with the main course which was served in disgusting bowls, that is to say touching them (which you could because they were not hot in the slightest) would leave you with sticky hands. The mains came out at 10.15 and again half of the food was not there and dishes that were not ordered were brought out to us. 5 portions of plain nan were brought out when we ordered no plain nan. Only 1 out 6 portions of rice arrived and it was cold and uncooked, when mentioning this, the manager said he would send some hot rice, meaning he knew what was served. Ultimately no one ate, the children ordered some chips in the hope of getting some food, they received refried chips that were warm and not fresh. It was like the food from the buffet had been kept aside and kept warm and served to us. The manager insisted that we ate the food and could not comprehend that we wanted hot and fresh food stating "we have many customers that eat this food" meaning they serve food like this regularly. He offered a 10% discount on the bill! We left without eating at 10.30 and made our respective long journeys back home. Visit this place at your own risk. It has been one star in order to provide this review.
Beautiful meal last night with the wife, thank you everyone, definitely coming back soon.
The food was lovely & the staff couldn't do enough for us. What a lovely experience. 5 stars is fully deserved.
Ten out of ten, good food and service.
I just recently moved to Coventry from London and I found the best Indian in Coventry. Highly recommend it.
Delivery very fast and the restaurant is very nice and clean. If you want the best Indian go to indigo!
