Staff are always friendly and welcoming. They take their time to help every customer, whether buying something from the shop, returning amazon parcels, or sending parcels, etc. They sometimes get busy, especially around lunchtime, but they continue to work through the queue as fast as possible.
I've edited the hours to reflect what their sign says now. Also, the post office hours are slightly less, but you can see these in the pictures. They were taken January 2024.
I had the same experience as JR (review below)….... “I diverted a couple of important parcels to here only to find a hand scribbled note on the door”. I paid for next day delivery hoping the delivery would be dispatched by Evri courier but the retailer used Parcelforce they automatically redirected to this Post Office as I was at work, only to finish work early to collect the parcel to find the same barely visible, weather worn ‘handwritten note’ on the door - closed at 2:30. So out of pocket for next day delivery charge and just happen to finish work early (didn’t know the PO was going to be closed) and so therefore didn’t get my parcel as a next day delivery!

A really friendly little post office, they are always genuinely happy to help. Easily one of the nicest in the area by a long way. The little shop has a small but suitably comprehensible selection of house hold goods, bread milk chocolate etc, as well as some very nice unique gifts. Things like hand knitted baby blankets, sweetie bags, gift sets. They have such an impressive card array for such a small place. It is a really handy little shop, and although tesco is only down the road, this little post office has pretty much most things you could suddenly realise you had run out of, baking supplies, tinned goods, beer! And to top it all off, they sell delicious locally made pies, sausage rolls and sandwiches!
Normally this place is a fantastic community PO and little shop.
This morning however there is a rather unpleasant young lady behind the counter who’s impatience and churlishness actually beggars belief!
I was refused a parcel returned because her scanner wouldn’t read it.
I tried to bring up the online version and was trying to get my phone to open, throughout my short search she stood asking without pause
“Have you got it, is it there, I need it, have you got it, I can’t accept it if you haven’t got it” over and over ceaselessly until I said, you can see I’m trying to open it, but there is no signal.
This churlish impatience was so unpleasant.
I hope to goodness she is not this way with the older community members.
Then when a customer came in she switched up and started repeatedly saying “I’m only being helpful, I’m only trying to help” so it looked like I was the one being difficult!!! Very unpleasant and unprofessional. I will avoid when this madam is in
Always a friendly smile and excellent service.
Excellent, started using this week, think this will be my new post office. All staff very friendly and welcoming, also has a shop attached to it which is handy.
