Such great hospitality!! Loved the dinner, probably the best we've had on the hike in a couple days. The waitress was amazing and kind. We had potatoes, chicken, soup and a great icecream dessert! Bed was outrageously comfortable, and the room was clean. The location is amazing, and there are cows with bells walking all around. Meals have a view of the mountain and it's right along the TMB trail. Breakfast was some jam, toast, and orange juice/coffee.
We stayed here on our 7th day of the TMB trail. It’s located very close to it, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Probably the nicest people we’ve encountered so far. Dinner was the best we’ve had. I had read other reviews so we had low hopes, but we were very impressed by the quality and portions. I’m vegetarian and they served me a veggie burger which was very welcomed as veg options on the trail are limited. The rooms were clean and cozy. With the windows shut it’s warm and open it’s very cool. This was the most comfortable we’ve been while on the trail. I highly recommend staying here or stopping in for a meal.
Expensive and overpriced, rather stay somewhere else. The owner did not recognize us after our check-in, so we had to reintroduce ourselves a few times, which was very awkward. The attic room is cosy and has its own shower and bathtub with nice hot water. However, the room has no curtain, so the adjacent street light lights the room at night. Dinner is mediocre and the mini breakfast is disappointing: you even have to pay extra for a boiled egg. Bonus points: the garden and the sound of the waterfall.
Refuge tres bien situé et chambres individuelles très mignonnes et agréables ! Vue éblouissantes ! Très déçue par les repas…repas très très simple et rien de fait maison, tarte et œuf en supplément. Pas à la hauteur des attentes d’un refuge de montagne et surtout en comparaison avec les autres gîtes du tour du mont-blanc
To be fair, the room was very clean, the shower amazing, and the place pleasant enough. It’s was just so overpriced I wish we had known we could take bus for 30 mins to Orsières to sleep there instead.
Dinner was ok.. but breakfast was really underwhelming. Definitely not a breakfast of champions you’d need to go tackle another long day out. At the rate they’re charging, having to pay extra to have boiled eggs seem pushing things a bit too far.
I slept here while doing the TMB route. Very nice hotel if you want to visit Lacs de Fenetre. The views from the terrace are amazing.The managers and staff are very welcoming and kind, they recommended me to visit Cabane d'Orny, near Champex lac, and It was a really good afternoon hike, thank you for all!!
accueil très sympa, par la serveuse tout d'abord très souriante et ensuite par la patronne très sympathique. La chambre très cosy on s'y sent vraiment bien. Le repas demi-pension quoique un peu simple est très bon. ça pourrait être agréable d'avoir quelques petites spécialités un peu plus locales qu'un potage de légume et des lasagnes. Petit déjeuner simple également mais efficace.
